I used to switch on and off a fan on a heat exchanger. Works great. I like that you can change the trigger for heating or cooling. It has a ton of features that are helpful getting the settings just right!

First impression of the STC-1000 Non-WiFi Temperature Controller is that it is a solid unit and should last. The configuration of controller is very easy once you're clear on the different parameters. I was up and running within 10 minutes of taking the controller out of the box.The controller is working fine turning on and off the heater to the aquarium. I've noticed that the temperature shown on the controller is 1 degree F hotter compared to 2 other thermometer used as reference. The controller allows you to calibrate and set offset for the temperature difference. Again, the controller seems solidly built and looks like it will last, but I've only had this controller for a few days so I will reserve judgement on the durability and sturdiness.Overall, the controller is reasonable in price, looks well built, and will give you peace of mind.

The media could not be loaded. Took a little while to learn how to use it and the app because I know nothing about refrigeration devices. But after about an hour of messing with the device and the app I understood it lol. I use it for my aquarium heater because I’ve had 2 in the past that malfunctioned and either stoped working or boiled my poor fish. But with this heater controller I can eat monitor the temperature from anywhere on my phone or have it notify me through sms text or a push notification on my iPhone. I have tested it meant times and it worked great every time. I definitely recommend this device for all my aquarium people freshwater or saltwater. Compared to other brands this one was the best bang for your buck!

I only wish I baught the one with 2 sensors. This is a great product that gives me peace of mind. It operates the circulation and exhaust fans in my printer enclosure. I can set the heating (circulation fans) and cooling (exhause fan) to maintain temprature within 1 degree of target.I can also check the tempratures and adjust them from anywhere I can access the internet from my phone. The app will even alarm and pester me if it hits dempratures that I defined or if the sensor goes offline!"Elitech iCloud" is the name of the app on the android store. The instructions where not clear on which app I needed, so there it is for anyone else that had teouble understanding. Love the product and I will be including these in future builds that need accurate monitoring and control of temps.

I am very pleased with this controller; as far as I can tell it works flawlessly. It gets 4 stars instead of 5 because *of course* there should be at least an option to keep the LCD display on at all times; there is not (you can find that statement in the "Customer questions and answers" section, answered by the manufacturer). I would like to be able to glance at it and see all the pertinent information. It is a relatively small complaint, and if I could I would give 4.5 stars. But aside from being an annoyance, there is no indication anywhere in the marketing / sales information on this page or in the instruction manual that the display doesn't stay on, so that -- until I searched the questions on Amazon -- I had to wonder if it was a defect.Other than that, I don't hesitate to recommend this. The vast majority (and maybe even *all*) of the negative comments are from people who bought the wifi version; apparently it needs work. Well, not everything has to be controlled by your phone... I know, a radical thought. Just saying.Finally, if you, like me, intend to use this to keep a refrigerator at appropriate cheese aging temperatures (50 - 55 degrees Farenheit), then it is the clear choice over the model that everyone else seems to use -- the WILLHI WH1436A -- as that product's documented temperature range starts at 58 degrees Farenheit.

The instructions are impossible to understand and there is no actual app for this thing, which was the whole reason I bought it. I'm past the return window now so I'm out $60. This thing is going in the trash.

This thing is adjustable every which way. Is used under the kitchen sink to stabilize the temperature swing of the 4 gallon point-of-use electric water heater. The bi-metallic thermostat in the tank would get the water too hot when adjusted for minimum temp turn-on, and too cool when set for my preferred hot setting. This gadget does it all. Set max, set differential (min), set probe adjustment +/- to actual measured temp. Same settings for cold too, but I only use heat. Outlet for each heating and cooling side. Display shows current temp and on/off settings all the time.

Okay, so for the people that say they can't get the Wi-Fi to work, they're not putting the device into "pairing mode". You press and hold the "set" button and the "⬇️" (down arrow key) until you see the Wi-Fi symbol flashing on the screen of the controller. After correcting that mistake myself or paired and accepted the Wi-Fi network in seconds.SPEND THE EXTRA DOLLAR ON THE WIFI MODEL. Even if you don't care about the features that come with the Wi-Fi model such as remote temperature monitoring, making adjustments to your set points is way easier from the app on your phone then with the three buttons on the controller. And besides, the temperature monitoring is free!!And BTW, I own some Elitech tools for HVAC. I can attest to the lasting quality, accuracy and value of the brand.If you need a device that does what this does, then choosing this one should be a no-brainer.
