RFID Blocking Leather Passport Holder

This is an incredibly useful wallet, and I love it. I had my first one for about two years and used it daily, whether I was traveling or not. However, the passport holder has a tendency to fray then come apart at the seems, particularly if you stuff more in there than just your passport. (I used that side to hold one currency to keep it separate from another on the other side.)Before going on another trip this year, I decided to replace it. I looked at more expensive options that may or may not have had better longevity. However, I didn't like the layout of any of them as much, and for the price, I could have gotten three of these. So, I decided even if I know I'll only be able to keep it for a few years, it's still cheaper to replace this with an identical version and replace it again in a few years than go with the more expensive option that I'd probably like less anyway.I'm docking it one star for the quality issue, but I will buy it again, and I have recommended it to my friends. It really is a useful travel companion.

Very well crafted wallet wallet. However, it looks as though it is intended for the infrequent traveler and not a frequent one. The wallet looks more "showey" than durable; but I must say quality of leather and workmanship are good. It is not thick enough to hold two passports, as required by dual citizens, or those who need to carry both their current and previous passports at the same time. It would have been good if it had been designed to hold two passports.The credit card slots (total of 4) + 1 pocket for the drivers license/ID card are nice. You cannot/should not over-stuff this wallet or it will come apart at the seams. As long as you stick to a single passport, and 5 cards, you are good.

Update: After 11 months, the plastic(?) Passport holder tore@ the point it attached to the leather body. In the following month the leather strap supporting the plastic tore loose. Passport did not fall out. Possibly, my (over) filling of wallet to capacity contributed.Also, Texas drivers license quite tight in the windowed compartment. After frustrating law enforcement officer with my inability to remove it w/ arthritic fingers, I trimmed the license for more easy removal. Downgrade from 4 to 3 stars.(update ends.)A good compromise between capacity and conciseness, the wallet holds enough id and credit cards to survive day to day; but not enough to carry photos too. . . oh, well.

For twenty bucks I expected it to last longer, but it did as advertized, I know because my area uses RFID for our bus passes. That aspect made me happy, but it only lasted a year, in a purse and/or a back pocket, with someone whom entropy has befriended.The inside has what looks like aluminum foil on the inside. I don't know what the actual alloy was but I referred to it as my wallet's tinfoil hat. The faux leather degraded, the stitching came apart and the foil wore out on the fold. I wouldn't get it again, but I don't regret the purchase.

A review I read before I purchased this item said the passport pocket was too small for the passport. Not the case with me. Mine has plenty of room, in fact, I keep some extra paperwork behind the passport and I have the 52 page, double-thick passport . I also keep my old passport in the pocket behind the credit cards (I have my reasons), though it fits in the pocket with my current one..My only complaints would be that the license window is pretty tight, making it difficult to remove the license, so I don't use it for that, and it smells a bit musty.It was shipped and arrived as scheduled.

I just used this for a week of travel in europe, and it worked very well. Perfect size for my suit jacket. My only complaint is it is a bit smelly in a plastic way not a garbage way, but I guess that will go away since I only bought it recently. But I would recommend it.

My husband often travels and wanted to have a way to keep his passport protected. This does the job. The extra slots for credit card or other small cards work well. I had purchased other travel products and this was one of the better items I purchased. I would recommend it, if you need something like this.

Anyone who travels needs to have RFID protection. Identity theft is a huge problem, and it is easier than ever for thiefs to steal your personal identification. This is particularly bad if you're in a foreign country. I strongly suggest having this type of wallet/holder for your credit cards and passport.
