97Wh 6GTPY Battery for Dell XPS 15 9550 9560 9570 Precision 5510 5520 M5510 M5520 Laptop

After installing this battery, the mechanical "click" disappeared from the right and left trackpad buttons. I realized the issue is lack of a hard piece of plastic in the battery frame on this model vs. the original Dell model. This may not mean anything to those who do not use those buttons (if you always use a mouse or just use the touchclick on the trackpad itself), but I use those buttons and I didn't like it. I'm sure the battery life is fine, although I only used it for about 1 minute after realizing the functionality issue.

I got this for my Dell XPS 9550 15 inch laptop that I bought over 3 and half years ago. The laptop originally had a 56 wh battery. I used to get a max of 2 hours on it. It fell down to 10 minutes now. So I wanted to change the battery. I was skeptical whether this 97 wh battery can replace this 56 wh battery. I researched a lot before buying this but bought it finally. It was very easy to install. I just had to remove the 2nd internal SSD slot which I never used. It was a very easy process to remove it. Just removed couple of screws and it came off. As soon as I removed it, the battery install was a breeze. After the install, my battery life improved drastically. I was originally getting only 2 hr battery life on 56 wh battery. Now I'm getting almost 8 to 9 hr battery life! That too, I have a quad core Intel i 7 processor with 32 GB RAM. My laptop is also very cool now. The battery also charges fast. Hardly takes 1 hour to charge 100%. And it lasts a really long time. I'm again feeling very happy to work with this very old laptop. It's as good as the latest dell XPS 15. I easily recommend this to anyone. Please go ahead and dump your 56 wh battery and replace with this 97 wh battery. You'll love your decision.

I received a defective battery that charged to 100%. When I unplugged my dell XPS 9560 from the power adapter, it randomly kept dying. Every time I tried turning it on after the battery died I had to plug it in to power it on. I will be turning this defective battery in for a refund.

Considering this product is titled "97Wh 6GTPY Battery for Dell XPS 15 9550 9560 9570 Precision 5510 5520 M5510 M5520 Laptop", I expected a 97Wh 6GTPY Battery for Dell XPS 15 9550 9560 9570 Precision 5510 5520 M5510 M5520 Laptop. Instead I got a 91wh battery for who knows what.

Very pleased to find this battery on Amazon. This was a perfect replacement for a dead Dell battery for my XPS laptop. Will do business with this supplier again!

This is a fillip to my review from a year ago, Oct 2019. This battery failed. Would not hold a charge. When my LT was unplugged, would not operate. Had the battery replaced and works again. Should not fail this soon. Will not buy from this vendor again.
