Easy To Install - Very Functional
Great product and exactly as described. It arrived quickly and was packaged well. Quality exceeded my expectations for the price. I would definitely order this again and recommend it to others.

Saved a ton of money!!
My refrigerator froze up. I read online that this clip was probably the problem. My brother and I emptied the refrigerator and replaced this part. The original was smaller, clearly a planned design flaw. The replacement part has been fantastic! It's worked like a charm. No repair man needed. No new refrigerator needed.

The Component That Samsung Failed to install Originally, Now You Can Do It
I'm still scratching my head about why this wasn't standard as component of the Samsung refrigerator, but it wasn't. After clearing the ice blockage in the refrigerator drain, the installation is very straightforward. There are a bunch of YouTube videos on the fix. This part works great.

It solved the problem
It would have been nice if Samsung could have designed a refrigerator that didn't fill the produce drawers with water and require a repair, but at least the fix is simple. I had to bend the clip a bit to get it to fit properly in place, but this was very easy to do without damaging it. No more water in the produce drawers and the refrigerator runs so much quieter now without all of the ice buildup. I do recommend doing your repair BEFORE a grocery trip and letting your fridge thaw for several hours before starting it back up to ensure all of the collected ice is fully melted. You can help it along with a hair dryer, of course, but use caution not to overheat important components.

Simple upgrade to solve a known fault with Samsung refrigerators.
Fit perfectly into our Samsung French door refrigerator after defrosting the drain. Not problems since. Thank goodness for the internet and being able to diagnose why we were getting water pooling under the bottom of the trays in the refrigerator. The pathetic little piece of wire that Samsung put in to keep the drain valve from freezing was completely inadequate. This device solved that problem and we haven’t had a problem in the several months since I installed this. You would think that Samsung would make this part standard on its line of refrigerator freezers. Oh well. Couple of tips. First, make sure to bend the outer flanges of this add on piece over the heater coil where it’s mounted to ensure a snug fit to allow maximum heat transfer to keep the drain from freezing up. That will also keep this part in the right place when reassembling the back of the refrigerator. Second, make sure the drain line is clear all the way to the external drip pan. The rubber flange on the bottom of the drain hose on ours was rotted and fused thus not letting water flow into the pan. This caused a water back up that allowed the freezing. I didn’t see a need for this flange so simply pulled it off the hose. Good luck!

You might need more than this clip!
So after getting the classic ice and water buildup under my crisper drawer I found articles about replacing this heater drain clip that goes a little farther into the drain to help it from freezing, it was easy to install and the most time consuming thing was getting the fridge de-iced so you could remove the panel. It was totally fine for months after I replaced it but now the problem came back, I was not happy since I also have the ice maker issues!! So pulled off the cover again and the temperature sensor was completely iced over as was the drain pan and hole, took many hours of slowly trickling hot water and using a hair dryer to get the drain line clear. Now I have read that sometimes the temperature sensor fails and causes the heater to not work, I have ordered a new sensor but I am also going to order a new defrost heater assembly, this way I will have all the parts that could go wrong that cause this annoying issue with these refrigerators. With the ice maker parts and the heater parts I will have spent about $400, it's cheaper than a new fridge and I know there is a class action lawsuit but good luck getting anything from Samsung if it's more than a few years old, they may help with the parts if your lucky but the labor will cost much more than its worth in my opinion. If this doesn't fix it I'm kicking it to the curb!
