Ive been rolling D 20's since the 1990's this is a great no frills set of dice.

Sometimes, you just want them to be easy to read.
And they are. Chessex Dice are uniform, balanced and good quality. Some days I want my super fancy metal rainbow dice, and some days I just want it to be easy to see. These are the easiest to read dice I own.

Great set of Chessex Math Rocks.
I am a shiny math rock goblin. Recently we moved, and I packed my as of late little used velvetty purple bag (that comes with a certain whiskey) full of dice away in our storage room. Then, sure enough, I got invited to join a campaign. Clearly, I buried my dice bag but not my player's handbook? Anyway, I don't borrow dice. That's not my jam.I bought these. They are cheap and utilitarian. They do the job perfectly. I bought two, because you can't buy just 1 set of shiny math rocks at a price like this. Also, I'm getting older, so I really like the high contrast of black dice, white numbers. Throw in some spare d6's, rogues know what I'm saying, and you've got a solid set of dice. Happy adventuring!

Nice dice for the price
They look nice for the price and fit my dice tower. I would recommend.

Usable, quality is just okay
The dice themselves feel good, and are perfectly usable. I love white on black for maximum readability, plus they look cool to me in an old school kind if way. However, the paint inside the numbers is very noticeably faded on some dice compared with others in the set. Still readable, but the inconsistency is kind of annoying. I am going to try to touch up the paint myself. The engraving of a few of the numbers is also not centered, almost falling off the edge of the die in the case of the d4 especially.Elsewhere on Amazon you can get like 5 sets for ~$15, and those actually had better print quality than these, but I find the color combinations on those tend to be annoyingly low contrast and hard to read in low light conditions. So yeah, if you just want some reasonably priced high contrast dice, these will do the job. But definitely not a top quality experience.

Fanastic quality!
Easy-to-read, good weight, very clear numbering. These dice feel great in the hand -- particularly solid and weighty compared to other manufacturers' dice. Also a great value. I have been happier with Chessex's dice than other brands I have purchased.

Large, clear numbers for those of us who've been playing D&D since the 70's!
I actually bought these for my husband, who finally agreed to play in our family game for my birthday. I have to say it's a real thrill to play with our kids, some at the table, some on Zoom. My husband had a great time, and we burned down the tavern where we met. When the arrows are flying and the ceiling is coming down you need to be able to read your dice quickly, for that saving throw!
