I Can't Thank You Enough
I am so grateful to find this Finger Millet Flour that I made porridge immediately it came. It is well packaged and clean. I originally came from East Africa where we consume a lot of this healthy porridge. For several years I did not know where to find it in the United States and it was a gamble searching on Amazon where I was blessed with just what I needed for health and vitality. African grains (if grown organically) are health boosters. I will definitely order more.

Not for babies
I usually ask my mother to make ragi flour by sun drying and frying ragi. I was out of that home made ragi and hence ordered this as this said organic. I could say that this definitely tasted different than home made ragi which is expected. But, it felt like may be it got mixed with some other flour while processing. I got regular ragi from local Indian store for half of its price and that was a lot better. I would definitely not recommend this as a baby food. But may be adults could use it to make health drink.

Great substitute for wheat flour
Great substitute for wheat flour. I have start making rotis with it now. Though it needs to be mixed with little wheat flour or maize flour for cooking.

The best
This was the best millet I ever ate. My mom added some natural spices and made porridge. Kids love it and it is so gooooood. I wanted to order more but very sad to find out it’s out of stock. Please bring it back.

Fiber seen in the powder
I have been really fond of this specific brand(USDA Organic tag was an added bonus) and had been regularly purchasing this for my toddler. I always make sure I add water and filter out any residue before cooking, but this time I noticed a lot of fiber and coconut skin type things on the strainer. I am not sure if this was a part of husking but I don't think I am comfortable buying it again.

A decent flour substitute
This millet flour is a decent substitute for those wanting a gluten free alternative that is also nutritious, although not as easy to work with on its own as regular flour. I am not so concerned about being gluten free, so I find it better to mix this with regular flour to make it easy to work with and still get the flavor I want from the flour. This comes in a re-sealable plastic bag and the flour is fresh and good quality.4 starsI was provided a sample for review and I do not promise a good rating in return, nor am I affiliated with this company or compensated in any way. I am just a regular Amazon customer who shops a lot on Amazon.
