Gel-Force Ankle Support, Compression Sleeve with Supportive Gel provides Comfortable Stability

I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and associated hypermobility joints. I knew my ankles were wobbly and unstable, but my biggest problems have always been my SI joint and knees. Recently my ankles started hurting a little too, so I picked up this brace. I really liked the gel insert of the Pro-Tec knee sleeve (for an unstable patella) I have, so figured the ankle would be good too. This ankle sleeve is GREAT for hypermobility. It took away the small amount of pain I was having but more importantly, I could immediately tell that the stabilization it provided to my ankle completely changed the way I stand (for the better). My knee felt more stable and was in a more neutral position (as opposed to moderately hyperextended by default). I can tell its reducing the wear on my knee when I walk too. Ankle braces had been suggested by my doctor before, but I didn't think I needed them. So glad I tried this! If you are hypermobile and have problems with your ankles or knees, I highly recommend this and Pro-Tec's knee sleeve.I wear women's shoe size 8.5 and the medium fits great, noticeable compression and doesn't fall down but still comfortable and not too tight. I like the fact that the gel and support is on both sides since my ankles wobble both in and out, so I think I'd prefer this to the Bauerfeind braces (very $$$) it seems to be modeled after that only support the outside.

I wear a size 7 shoe, not wide, and the size chart says to get a small. I got a medium and that is VERY tight. I know it is supposed to be snug, but it leaves quite a few marks in my foot once I take it off. I do really like the product though and it was Dr recommended after I got the big "boot" off after breaking my ankle. The compression does feel great and it's padded in certain places for extra support.

I have size 12.5 feet and often wear size 13 shoes. I ordred the XL with fingers crossed that it would not be too big. I found that it fit, although not tightly. I imagine if I had a 12 or smaller size foot - it might not have fit snug enough to be of any good.My reason for purchasing was I was healing a moderate sprained ankle that was taking several weeks to heal and I had a hiking trip planned. I wore this essentially non-stop for 3 days and believe the sleeve strengthened my step and helped me avoid straining it further.I ended up wearing it around the house as well. I think the gel insert was a bit bulky in my shoe but nice to have as extra cushion and rigidity around the ankle joint.I don't believe this would have helped me if I was healing a more severe sprain, that would need a tighter wrap for compression.

I have had numerous ankle injuries requiring ankle taping and stiff braces. My ankles have become weaker and are more susceptible to rolling. I try to keep active with sports when I can, so I wanted something to provide sturdy ankle support.This sleeve is comfortable and fits true to it's size description; however, the sleeve offers very little in terms of extra support to keep the ankle still. I wore the sleeve for several hours prior to the game and it provided everyday support and comfort.The problem began when I started playing softball. I was hoping the inserts along the sides of this sleeve were metal or hard plastic, but they felt like thick neoprene. The brace provided little to no support to guard against ankle rolls.This sleeve was as effective as a tightly attached ACE bandage. Medical tape would have provided better support.I would NOT recommend this for sports where ankle turning is a concern.

This product arrived quickly and well packaged. It is well made. and I like the fact that it does not enclose my toes.....That said....I returned the sleeve. For twenty dollars for one sleeve I expected more. First, putting this on and off requires 2 sets of hands! After it is on I found it to be uncomfortable and it did nothing for my ankle. It did not stop side ways movement and it did not compress my ankle in a way to help with swelling and pain.Perhaps it would work for others, but it did not fill my need.

I have MS and due to a few relapses I have no feeling in my ankle and toes. Even with daily medicine walking can be troublesome. I decided to buy this product to help me with support and circulation. This product is amazing. I can walk and even sit through an 11 inning baseball game and my ankles and feet feel great. As soon as I put them on I can feel the blood circulating up and down my legs, what a relief! I highly recommend the gel force ankle sleeves to anyone like me who needs that extra support. For those of you complaining about getting them on; put a plastic sandwitch bag on your foot then remove it after they slide on!

I am unable to wear this support sock, I ordered it per their sizing instructions and the small is way to small, I have tried and it is so small, it takes 3 people to get it on and even more to get it off, I did not know that I had a limited time to return this unusable support sock, and now I am stuck with it, so be very very very careful when order from this company and make sure you take note of the return policy and the time limit, measure your ankle at least 2 times and make sure before you order it that you contact the company that is selling it on Amazon, verify that the sock will actually fit your ankle.
