Original Liquorice Comfits Retro Sweets Gift Jar By Berrymans Sweet Shop - Classic Sweets, Traditional Taste.

They are liquorice torpedoes, ie much larger (in fact, very much larger - these would be on the large side of most topedoes). Given the supplier claims to specialize in retro sweets I'm amazed they should be confused about the difference. I've had to return them, which is inconvenient in itself - I therefore suggest Amazon amend the description to avoid others having this problem.

Not thin or soft enough. Nothing like the original Comfits of the 1950/60's. I was slightly disappointed at how hard they are to chew, when the bòiĺed sugar eventuaĺly dissolves the liquorice is also hard to chew.

I love these sweets. Bought them for my nephew but shared with uncle (me). Great value, high quality old fashioned liquorice comfits or torpedoes. Whatever you call them, they're tasty and tempting. Go on, you know you want to!

Hard and tasteless.These are not the retro sweets of my memory- the outer is hard (expected) but little taste - then if you bite through the “liquorice” part is hard (not expected) and little taste - I kept the jar and poured the sweets in the bin!!

As a liquorice lover and glutton, these are a must. Firm, crunchy, sweet and liquoricey! Did not last long with my wandering hand, even moving them out of arms reach. More torpedo than comfit but for me, who cares! Eat 'em anyway, lolz.

The last lot i got were softer under the crust but these are too hard, cant chew them too well, only get them if you dont have false teeth

The product is brilliant bought one jar for my neighbour and we both agree they are nice size liquorice comfort defintely buying again. Value for money
