Q: Does this work with 64 bit windows 7, or windows 8 64 bit?

Yes this will work with 64-Bit operating systems. In the case that it does not work, you can install the software compatibility mode for Windows XP SP 2 and it will install and run normally.

Q: What is the version of the firmware?

I don't remember how I got mine. I think a cd came with it, but I downloaded the updated version from their website. The version I have loaded is 8.10.021. This file came compressed as a rar file, when I extracted it I got a virus either from the extracted files or via the website..Other than that I think it works well enough

Q: Does it work with mac book?

The program only runs in Windows XP, so, although I use a mac book pro to run it, I do so by opening it in Windows XP using Parallels (Boot Camp should work too). Also, if you intend to run it on a mac, DON'T try to download the files from the included mini disc; go to the website and download them there. The mini disc is designed for a drive that loads with a tray, so it will get caught in a mac drive.

Q: Will this one work with a 2013 Toyota Prius V?

It should support with applicable TIS ( software program ) to run a set of diagnostics for Toyota cars since 1996. The versions of software have known bugs ( some of diagnostics might fail for particular cars ). So, a potential customer shall worry about having the latest version of TIS software where the bugs are addressed/fixed and the downloadable software application TIS shall be suitable for Windows operating system on his laptop PC.
