A definitive XKE reference book...
Saw this book in use on TV & it seems to be a help when determining original condition XKE.

Good photos overall
Too much attention to XKE 1.5 model. A bit more information on 1.0 models, especially the 4.2 litre cars would be helpful.

Provides certain Information and Pictures
This book is definitely not an end-all book. I have a 1970 Series II roadster, but there are limited information on the Series II. I understand Series II is kind of a forgotten bunch, but because of this, it should compile more information about Series II cars. While there are very good pictures and descriptions of the E type, the information is not nearly enough. I think there's too many British pictures as opposed to pictures from the American version. It does however point you to the right direction and allows you to search on the internet for more information. I would certainly buy this book, but supplement it by purchasing other books on the E type as this book is not comprehensive.

Excellent Photos, Well Written
Helping a friend restore his old E-Type. This book is well written and appears to be and excellent source of information. Has already given us added confidence in our restoration.

Review of: Jaguar E-Type: The original guide to the Jaguar E-Type
I was extremely pleased with the detail of this book. I have a much greater understanding of the finer points distinguishing between the series 1, 1.5, 2 and 3 type E. The pictures also gave me some great ideas on restoring my current 66 2+2.

Brilliant with great colour photography
This is a fantastic book with lots of great colour photography throughout. Rather than being old stock photos they are taken of current vehicles. The book goes in to a lot of detail about the different series with really good photos and text explaining the difference. The book is not a manual in how to do mechanical repairs on your e Type (thank god) but an enjoyable quite detailed book about its key features inside, under the hood and outside. I think it’s a brilliant book and am happy to recommend

lacking real indepth detail
If you are trying to resore an e type and want to know what colour various parts should be or whether they are plated, don't buy this book. You will be very disappointed.
