Television's Greatest Hits, Vol. 5: In Living Color

I remember most of the themes from the first four volumes of this series, but not so with this CD nor with those that follow.Like the third CD in this series, this CD contains music from more recent TV shows. Like that third CD, this one has no problems with poor quality audio.There are a fair number of shows on this CD that I've never heard of. The shows I do recognize, I recognize by name and have only a very dim idea of the contents. Many of those I do recognize, I have no recognition of the themes. The very few themes that I do remember do seem to be the original, but that may not be the case with some of the others.So, if you grew up in the fifties and drifted away from much TV watching in the mid to late eighties, this CD doesn't offer much.I did note that some other reviewers stated that some of the themes are re-creations and some are from more obscure television shows. That leaves me with a very neutral feeling about this CD. I can't recommend it nor discourage buying it.

Although most of the songs on this CD are worth the purchase price, and great memories, the version I received only has 59 songs, not the 65 listed on Amazon.comFor the record the missing "Tunes" (Bar code 6 10535-68032 7) are, Stingray, Thunderbirds,Chico and the Man, Tom Jones Show, (Its not unusual) and Happening 68. Not enough to return it, but certainly somthing you should know.I had purchased the CD for such themes as Emergency, High Chaparral, Night Gallery and Felony squad. I cannot tell after the all the years if these are originals or copies, but they are good enough to bring back memories.If you are purchasing the CD for liner notes which tell you about the music, forget it. It does list artist for some, Author for some, but the scant notes are a one paragraph note about the show. A bit dissapointing.

On time and in good condition. It is nice to listen to all the old TV show theme songs.

If you are a big fan of television and you love television themes from your favorite shows back in the 60 and 70's then this CD is for you it brings back wonderful memories from my childhood. It's a great addition to my music collection

The songs of our childhood

I have all of this set of cds. I have a lot of fun listening to all the theme songs. It's a great trip down memory lane.

Like it, but it could had more

懐かしい米国TVドラマのテーマ曲を聴くことができました。お目当ては邦題『華麗な探偵ピート＆マック』、原題『SWITCH』で、本当はテンポの速い別バージョンが聴きたかったのですが、遅めのテンポのバージョンしか見つけることができず、その曲が収録されているのが本CDでした。ケースにも一工夫してあるのですが、開閉部が一部欠けていたのが惜しかったです。
