This is the third or fourth one of these reflective belt-things that we've bought. Gave them as presents, finally got one for our own household.The reflectivity may be a question mark for some people -- depending on the angle of light shining on it, it's barely reflective. BUT when the angle is right, it's very very bright. If a car or motorcycle were moving toward it (in dim or dark light) it would light up very bright.We like these because they are lightweight, easy to throw in a backpack or the trunk of the card. But likelihood of being seen is better because belt going around, and straps going over provides more inches in various directions, for reflecting light back.We'll be getting more, very likely.

This 3M strap vest is very reflective and will expand to fit most people. (I am 5'4" 114# and my husband is 5'10" and 180#--even for him there is plenty of room to expand it.) I bought the vest to walk my 8 pound maltipoo puppy and unfortunately she refuses to leave the yard after dark. She just lays down in the road. I will return this, but will re-buy if my dog ever cooperates! I have the 3M wristbands by the same company and I use a carabiner to attach one to her leash at night in case she gets away when we go out in the yard.Addendum: Be sure this item will work for you before you buy since the seller takes out shipping costs BOTH ways prior to any refund.

I bought this for my son who has recently started running before getting ready for school. After multiple near misses with joggers on my early morning drive to work (grrrr they all seem to wear dark clothing), I wanted him to be clearly visible to any vehicular traffic.Son's review: 5 stars - light weight and he forgets he's wearing it. Adjustable straps a plus.Mom's review: 5 stars - my son actually wears it and the strap was wide enough for "ICE" info to be written on the inside. Now I just need to find a matching one for his jogging partner - our German Shephard.

I ride a bicycle with drop bars and even though I have the bottom and top pretty tightly cinched up, the straps sag and flap when I am on hoods. This particular design really seems better suited for walking or running or riding a bike where you are pretty upright. Having a second belt across the top of the abdomen or bottom of check would likely make it a better product for cycling.

I've been very pleased with this vest and it still looks new after several months of frequent use. Adjustable fit works well (I'm 5'10", 225 and my wife is petite) and it fits well over any Minnesota winter outerwear. HIGHLY reflective and the green straps are high-visibility for dusk/dawn, which is when I use this the most for evening dog walks. I can tell when it gets the attention of inattentive drivers. The waistband will at times ride up a bit but that's a minor quibble. Definitely recommended and preferable over the typical loose-fitting jobsite vests.

Really reflective. I run in the early mornings. I don't listen to music so I am pretty aware of my surroundings. The problem is that there are some pretty stupid and distracted drivers out there. Must have to night running. Thought this would rub my neck our shoulder area but it doesn't.

Perfect, I purchased this reflective vest for my nephew and he loves it. I'm told that as a cyclist at night he feels more secure that he can be seen on the road from afar. I searched all of the vests and this one came across with a great clasp and can be adjusted over bulky jackets. Also, when he is finished wearing it the item can be folded small and put in his backpack. This now goes on my list for grab and go practical and inexpensive Christmas gifts.

I bought these for cycling at night. Overall it works very well. It reflects light and people definitely see me. My only complaint is that I have a very tall torso, and the straps aren't long enough for me. Perhaps that is by design. I'd still recommend it. I feel more comfortable riding at night with it on.
