I inherited a brown thumb. It doesn’t matter if the vegetation that I am striving to grow is low maintenance or exotic, eventually it will meet its end in sad, brown, due time. Nevertheless, I continue to try, planting or buying vegetable and fruit and herb plants and the odd orchid or two. When I saw Indoor Gardening Made Easy: How To Grow Herbs & Vegetables In Your House by Dr. John Stone, I decided to see if there might be some wisdom to gain that would turn around my pitiful brown streak.Stone thoroughly details the benefits of growing plants indoors - no pests! improved air quality! - and provides a comprehensive step by step guide to setting up your indoor garden. I have spent many hours googling for just such information, but here I found recommendations for the best growing medium, the specific needs of certain kinds of vegetation over others (vegetables and herbs are different!), as well as the most appropriate light bulbs for the job. If I learned only one thing, it is that I have NO idea what I am doing as I garden, but now I have confidence that with this book in hand, my plants will have a fighting chance.The sections are clearly delineated, and each topic has an eye-catching heading. I appreciated the way that, though there is a wealth of information, Stone presented his material in a scannable, easy-to-use-in-the-moment format. Definitely recommended to other brown thumbs.

I found good useful information, but I was hoping for more basic information without all the fancy and expensive methods. I still recommended for the information is very useful

After reading this book I had to see who the publisher was because the book is full of misspelled words and obvious grammatical errors. I was not surprised to see that the author is the publisher. The only helpful information is the section on light bulb differences, but even that is common sense. Don't waste your money on this book.

As a person with little outdoor space I was looking for a book which would help me grow my own food indoors and this book really delivered! The book is short but well written and easy to understand and has really taught me the basics of indoor gardening and helped me get started. Unlike many short books in this niche this book is well illustrated which makes the concepts and information introduced much easier to understand.If you are new to indoor gardening I would highly recommend this book

This book was so much more that I expected the amount of valuable information contained in this book is fantastic I learn quite a lot it was just what I was look for. After deciding I wanted to start growing my own vegi's indoors because I have a flat on no garden I thought I would be very challenging but after doing some research I found this was not the case.One of my favourite parts in the book was the How To Grow Vegetables Indoors section which is just the information I needed to get started. I found the book to be really well written and put together beautifully it was very easy to follow the intrusions and the author really breaks things down so you can really understand what they are trying to say.There was one other part of the book I found interesting and that was the Growing Herbs Indoors section this was something I never even thought of until reading this book. This is one of the best sources of information on these subjects I could find anywhere on the internet.I would recommend this book to everyone who want to grow any kind of plant indoors this book will get you up and running in no time I know have my own little vegi patch on my windowsills

Recommended for individuals especially in small spaces like apartments. It gives details dos and donts on setting up and maintaining gardening indoors

This was an ideal book for us to read. It really inspired us to get started this Fall with our little garden downstairs. I was really thankful for the info & guidance on what to purchase in regards to the lighting fixtures. This is not only a fun project, but it is very practical these days to do so. There is a wealth of information in this book for the average person to digest if they are really serious at giving this a go!

20 minutes to read this book and got nothing out of it I hadn’t learned watching a few Utube videos. I bought it because it was only $6, wasted my money.
