Gets the job done well
I've been trying to find a good yeast for a while. I don't really want to bother with keeping multiple strains, as I don't think yeast has all that important an effect on taste (sue me!).This will probably be my go-to for the forseeable future. Extremely clean, no off flavors, flocculated out within a week. Works at reasonable temperatures as well. My house is perpetually around 77F here in South Florida, and that's just about the upper limit for this strain. I've tried yeasts that work at higher temperatures, but they produce a ton of sulfide gas. Not here.Usually my fermentations have a certain smell about them, because of the relatively high temperature they're fermented at, but I gave the airlock of my latest beer with this guy a whiff every day and was surprised it just smelled like beer. Awesome.

... yeast and it always attenuates extremely well and is easy to use
This is my go to "house pale ale" yeast and it always attenuates extremely well and is easy to use. I use two packets in a ten gallon batch pitching directly into the primary. lag times are less than 12 hours and with fermentation temps held in the mid 60's this yeast produces a nice clean flavor and my beers usually ferment out in about 5 days. Stop messing with yeast starters and liquid yeast and give a try!

Absolutely Dependable Ale Yeast -- Good Price
I brew mostly British-style ales, from Irish Red to Pumpkin ale to various stouts and IPAs. I order kits that include grains, liquid and dry malt, and yeast. The yeast is an add-on to each kit, so it is priced separately. It is usually this type of packaged yeast, although there are others that are a little different. That company charges $5 for one of these yeast packs. I just bought 3 for about $10.50, no tax charged. That's $3.50 each, and I got free shipping by adding a few more things. Bottom line: this is exactly the same yeast I'd get from my brewer supply company, so I can't say it's "better," but it does save me $1.50 per pack, which adds up over time and is worth it. I've found I can use the Safale 5 in place of any other yeast, with great and consistent results -- robust and consistent yeast infusion of the wort, and excellent taste of the finished ales etc.The product description is a little hard to understand: you do get three sealed packs of this yeast for the price.Recommended.

Works well and good to have around
I brew on a fairly regular basis. Sometimes you'll buy a liquid yeast that just doesn't work. Or maybe you get an unexpected opportunity to brew and there isn't any liquid yeast in your fridge. When used to ferment at a low temperature, the yeast ferments slowly and carefully with no significant contributions of flavor or aroma. At higher temperatures, it ferments much faster and may contribute mild esters. It's a good, basic workhorse yeast unless you're trying to make a Belgian, British, or other style where yeast contribute aroma or flavor components.

Great price but check before brewing!
Great yeast at a great price. Came within 1 day or ordering. The problem is I didn't check the package ahead of time. Brewed up 7 gallons of beer and then went to rehydrate the 3 packages. Realized there was only 2 packages! With no other option I simply underpitched. Hopefully the beer comes out ok. Amazon support just offered a $3 credit since they don't understand that I just spend hours brewing and this mistake risks the whole batch. Disappointed in the Amazon support but the yeast seemed very aggressive and fresh.

Good Value For An Active Brewer
I buy these from Amazon as I can get them at a better price that at my LHBS or on-line supply. I'm an active brewer and use them up with 6 weeks so I don't worry about the yeast "going bad" as long as I keep them in the fridge. I would think that the would be ok for a longer period, but I believe its important to use fresh products...

Just as expected.
I've purchased the Safale US-05 before from Amazon and it always comes quick and fresh. I also look on the dates to ensure they packets are not old and they are always fresh. The price is a little higher than what it has been in the past, but it is a great option when you need yeast fast.

Great yeast for a variety of ale styles
Great yeast for a variety of ale styles. Ferments quickly and cleanly. Allows the hops flavor and aroma characters to come through in my beers.
