very useful and well priced.
Very good map, good detail, and practical because of the lamination. certainly easy to use than cellphone maps, which show only limited areas because of the screen size. Like many other maps, it can be somewhat weaker outside the main central areas. The slim and simple trifold is a big plus, slips into jacket pocket, handbag, etc.. easily. This series does not rip, tear, fray at the folds or make you figure out how to fold it up again, yet covers enough of the city to be truly useful. Easy to use on the plane going over as well.

One of the better maps available
In addition to a map of Hong Kong island, it also includes the outlying islands, the New Territories, Macau, and the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone.

Not as Good as the Shanghai Periplus Map
I have the outstanding Periplus Shanghai map. So I expected the Hong Kong one to be just as great. Surprisingly, the Hong Kong Map does not include any detail of the New Territories. There's just Kowloon, Hong Kong Island, Downtown Shenzhen, and Macau. This is odd to me. It's the equivalent to have a map of New York City having only Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens. A lot of people live in the New Territories, but I guess the map makers decided a tourist won't go out there so they excluded it. The Shanghai map includes a lot of the suburbs, much of which I doubt any tourist ever visits. There's a lot of wasted water space where they could have fit in some details of more populated areas like Sha Tin, Tai Po or Tuen Mun. And even on only overview map of the New Territories, there are lots of unnamed roads. This is sloppy, since there's plenty of space to print more street names in the New Territories, since the road network is overall not as dense. If you are just visiting Hong Kong and saying in Central or Kowloon, it's probably useful. The detail maps of those areas include all streets and a lot of places of interest. But if you're going to stay in Hong Kong longer, it's not too useful since the New Territories (or even Lamma or greater Hong Kong Island) are not covered in detail. The biggest fault in design for this one (compared to the Shanghai Periplus) is the main overview map tries to include ALL of Hong Kong's minor outlying islands. This wastes a lot of space to name these tiny islands that 99.9 percent of people never travel to (I'm not talking about Cheung Chau, I mean the ones that have no regular ferry service and are largely uninhabited). The Shanghai overview map does not include all of Shanghai! Which is fine, since the extreme suburbs are sparsely populated. If the Hong Kong Map designers had excluded these (almost) unpopulated islands, they could've fit more detail maps of the more populated areas.

Five Stars
My Dad recommended this brand for a Hong Kong map. It did not disappoint.

Not detailed enough
Bought this for the Macau Map. Definitely not detailed enough. Macau is only 7 square miles, there's no reason a map should be missing entire streets and neighborhoods.
