The Rolling Stones announce a very special highlight with “Bridges To Buenos Aires”: The previously unreleased concert film from their Bridges to Babylon tour has been completely restored, remixed and remastered. “Bridges to Buenos Aires” shows the complete show on April 5, 1998, the last of five completely sold-out concerts at the River Plate Stadium in the Argentine capital. As a special special, music icon Bob Dylan is there and accompanies the band on stage with a unique performance by “Like A Rolling Stone”. This latest release from the Rolling Stones archive series will be available on DVD, Blu-ray, Digital, DVD+2CD, Blu-ray + 2CD, blue translucent triple vinyl (limited edition), black triple vinyl (180g) and digital.

Really Good Again
Review for the DVD plus 2 CD format of “Bridges To Buenos Aires” (ASIN: B07X7YV61T)The concert presented here as “Bridges to Buenos Aires” was played and recorded in 1998, five months before the tour reached Bremen in Germany (that particular concert was the previous live release from the band. “Bridges to Bremen” was released less than five months before this release of “Bridges To Buenos Aires”).The set-list from each of the two recordings are very similar. Some might be disappointed in the two releases being so similar (and released less than five months apart) of two concerts that were also at the time five months apart. So I though it was worth pointing out the running order and slight differences of the two concerts for anyone who might not be aware of this. The running order of the Buenos Aires Concert is shown first with the running order of the Bremen conert shown in brackets.(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction (Same Song)Let's Spend the Night Together (Same Song)Flip the Switch (Same Song)Gimme Shelter (Same Song)Sister Morphine (Anybody Seen My Baby)It's Only Rock 'n' Roll (But I Like It) (Paint It Black)Saint of Me (Same Song)Out of Control (Same Song)Miss You (Memory Motel)Like a Rolling Stone (miss you)Thief In The Night (Same Song)Wanna Hold You (Same Song)Little Queenie (Same Song)When the Whip Comes Down (Same Song)You Got Me Rocking (Same Song)aSympathy for The Devil (Same Song)Tumbling Dice (Same Song)Honky Tonk Woman (Same Song)Start Me Up (Same Song)Jumpin' Jack Flash (Same Song)You Can't Always Get What You Want (Same Song)Brown Sugar (Same Song)So...“Bridges To Buenos Aires”CD One(I Can't Get No) SatisfactionLet's Spend the Night TogetherFlip the SwitchGimme ShelterSister MorphineIt's Only Rock 'n' Roll (But I Like It)Saint of MeOut of ControlMiss YouLike a Rolling StoneThief In The NightCD TwoWanna Hold YouLittle QueenieWhen the Whip Comes DownYou Got Me RockingSympathy for The DevilTumbling DiceHonky Tonk WomanStart Me UpJumpin' Jack FlashYou Can't Always Get What You WantBrown SugarOn the DVD (ASIN: B07X7YV61T) you get:The Concert (2 hours 21 minutes)Song Selection – each of the twenty-two songs can be accessed separatelyAudio Options:Dolby Digital StereoDolby digital 5.1DTS Surround soundThe DVD and both CD's all have all of the same songs and in the same order. The DVD picture format is 4:3This DVD and CD package is most likely to be bought by, or for, existing Stones fans, and said fans will likely have CD's and DVD's etc of very similar output already and especially so if they already own “Bridges To Bremen”, but you pays your money and makes your choice, and if you are a fan and your add this to your collection you will probably not be disappointed – at least not beyond the usual “I wish they'd played such-and-such...” but there's plenty to listen to (the playing time of the songs on the two CD's is a minute or so over two hours) and plenty to watch with the concert. Some of the stand out songs for me from this concert were: “Sister Morphine – which I thought was really good, with Mick on acoustic guitar, Keith on electric and Ronnie on Electric and playing with slide at times – just fantastic. Also the two songs that Keith takes lead vocal on - “Thief In The Night” and “Wanna Hold You” I thought were brilliant, so good that Keith didn't look like he could have sang and played more on “Wanna Hold You” as it didn't seem to end as it was perhaps supposed to, as Keith seemed to continue when he was maybe supposed to have stopped? The band are generally superb if perhaps not perfect – one such example would be “Saint Off Me” as they are not together on the song during the opening verse or so, but nevertheless still deliver an entertaining song. Then with “When the Whip Comes Down” Mick starts the song with “Well now you're respected in society...” – an easy mistake to make given those two particular songs, but Mick isn't flustered at all and everyone is soon playing and singing the same song.Another slight disappointment was “Like A Rolling Stone” as I had been looking forward to listening to Bob Dylan guesting on the song – it was entertaining but I thought it might have been better as Bob and Mick weren't always singing the same lyrics.Overall this DVD and two CD package has the thumbs up from and I'm not a “completist” but the similarities with “Bremen” is possibly worth being aware of?The DVD and two CD's are presented in a four-fold cardboard and plastic case and a ixteen-page booklet with information and photographs is also included.

Bought for my father for Xmas
But was tempted to keep it for my collection. Being a huge Stones fan he was over the moon with it and although it isn't vastly different to Bridges to Babylon which he also has, this will go nicely with his collection. With him also being a big Bob Dylan fan as well it was also a nice treat that he popped up on the album for this particular show.Edit - 4th June 2021My father just sent me a text message to say that he'd just picked up a sealed copy of this album for £30 from a local record shop. He seemed chuffed until I reminded him he already had it because I bought it for him the Xmas before last :)I'd say he clearly has too many records....but we all know that's just not possible.Anyway it looks like I'll be getting my own copy a little earlier than I expected.

This is rock at a high level!
A good concert on two CD’s and the whole concert on one Blu-ray. This concert was filmed on April 5th 1998 in Buenos Aires. It is similar to the ”Bridges to Bremen” concert (which is also on CD’s and DVD/Blu-ray). Here Bob Dylan appears and he sings ”Like A Rolling Stone” together with Mick Jagger. The sound quality is very good too. Picture is in the 4:3 ration. A good concert from the best rock ’n’ roll band in the world…

Live assez ancien vu qu'il date de la tournée de Bridges to Babylon mais avec le DVD upscale franchement très bonne qualité et le son n'est pas mauvais du tout. Un must pour chaque fan des stones !!!!
