12 Sizes 1.2M 48" Afghan Tunisian Carbonized Bamboo Needle Crochet Hooks Set with Beads for DIY Craft

I am learning to Tunisian crochet so these are my first sets. The hooks are really nice and smooth and easy to use. I haven’t had any issues yet and am very satisfied with the product so far! Mine didn’t smell and I haven’t noticed if any were broken.

For around $10, these hooks are an amazing value for the price. I haven’t delved fully into Tunisian yet but wanted to get a set of hooks with longer cords because I like to make wide adult sweaters and blankets. I figured there was minimal risk involved if these turned out to be terrible because they are so inexpensive. The risk paid off because I love these hooks! I’m not a huge fan of bamboo because I don’t feel the yarn slides as well, and there a couple little notches that cause the yarn to snag, but so far I’ve just sanded those out with a little piece of sandpaper and haven’t had any major issues with them. Ultimately the product is a fantastic value for the price and I would definitely recommend if you’re on a budget or just don’t want to invest too much money until you’ve really tried the craft.

I've been a crocheter for years, but have never done Tunisian in the round, but with the crochet hooks with a tail it was very easy and my bag turned out nicely.I thought it was great purchase and well worth the price.

Nice item but they smelled terrible when they arrived. Left the outside for a week and smell was still there. Washed with soap and water. It helped a little. Haven’t used them yet. The wood is very smooth and haven’t seen or felt any splintered areas.

When they arrived a few of them were broken and splintered, some of them were so rough and poorly made they were unusable. The cord is is incredibly long I actually cut a foot of length off so it was manageable. After I'm done with this project I'll probably throw the rest of them in the trash.

These are great. Do wish the hard stick part was a little longer. But easy to use.

I have been trying in vain to get a set of these for over a year. It was one thing after another from sellers. Either just regular (actually a little undersized...for children or adults with small hands) crochet hooks arrived or nothing at all arrived.I bought these and they arrived perfectly, ahead of schedule and the finish was PRISTINE. I usually expect bamboo needles to be a bit....catchy, but these were nice! I ended up linking the seller's page in my craft group.

They stink. They smell so bad it could knock a cow over. It’s the plastic cords that smell of gasoline with a side of burnt plastic. Maybe not that bad but it’s a cheap plastic smell that I’m hoping will at some point air out. I put them outside the night I opened them and they still stank the next morning. They were packaged in plastic so that surely did not help the smell. Anyway, the hooks are workable. A bit unruly with the long cord, but fun to give Tunisian crochet a try. I haven’t tried them all, but a quick look and feel and they seem smooth with no rough spots. I did get one bad hook and that’s the 6.0 mm. It has a chipped hook.....it works but not well. It was sent that way too. Did not chip during transit. I’m bummed, but for the price I’ll deal with it. If I get better at this, then I’ll buy a better set. For now, these stinky hooks will do.
