A Great book for Associates and Practice Owners Alike
This concise book has everything you need to learn about running a practice. It's an excellent read and breaks down otherwise complicated concepts. You can read it once a year to refresh on concepts or use it as a guide. This book is excellent for associate dentists considering practice ownership in the future.

Everything I needed.
First year dentist venturing towards ownership. This book provided many known ideas and topics, but also many areas I need to be more aware of in my practice.

Astoundingly well thought out, and concise
I wished that I bought this book when I was in dental school. This would have saved me a lot of heartache with my first few years after buying a dying practice with inflated numbers. This would have helped greatly with dealing with insurance companies, as well as figuring out logistics like fees, staff pay, etc. This is the one area (and most important area) not covered in dental school for being a dentist....how to run a business.

Great Insight Into How to Run a Successful Dental Practice
Dr. Addison Killeen takes complex subjects and presents them in a clear, easy to understand format. For example, his analysis on how to calculate EBITDA is easy to follow, but thorough and comprehensive. The book is well written and succinct, which is perfect for the busy professional. Every dentist (and professional) who owns his or her own practice or business or who is aspiring to be a business owner, would benefit from reading Dr. Killeen's book. For anyone who believes the Robin Sharma quote, "Simplicity is the trademark of genius," you would have to consider Dr. Killeen a genius for making difficult subjects seem simple. From practice location analysis to discussions of leading indicators, there are numerous practical concepts in this book that will benefit every dentist.

Great book for a dental practice owner
Although I’m a specialist, not a general dentist - I found many useful and applicable hints. The author was gracious enough to answer my messages and was open to a 30min phone conversation (!) , which helped me with my business decisions. Read this book .

Pretty decent entry level book but definitely need more than just this one book
I am a dentist two years out looking for a practice to purchase. This book was good at overviewing valuation, financing, and understanding numbers, but you will definitely need more than just this one book to get you where you need to be. Would have loved to see more examples of different practices in different markets and also evaluating their P&Ls and balance sheets.

To the point. Practical.
I really liked it. To the point and practical. I'd recommend it as a first book for someone who wants to speak the language and get context of this industry.
