I have NEVER written a review before but after trying this for the first time I just had to! My hair has recently become worse than ever to manage and for some reason the hair on the back of my head (which is the curliest section) would hardly straighten. After blasting it with a blow dry and using an iron on it for so long, it eventually just broke off. I had to put some extensions in for it to look somewhat decent ( this is the straighter part underneath the curly in the before picture). I didn't want to make it any worse than it already was but I needed to straighten it somehow without too much damage. After reading tons of reviews and watching tons of user videos about steam brush straighteners I decided this one looked the best. I just got it in today and decided I would just let my hair dry natural and try it out on the worst possible scenario. My hair is thin, frizzy, stringy, curly and just completely unmanageable so I was very skeptical at first. To my amazment it straightened this mess and on a very low setting off only 300 degrees F! My hair barely felt warm but was being straightened. Couldn't recommend this product enough! Wish I bought it sooner!

I'm pretty impressed with this thing. I've used normal straighteners and the InStyler and both of them caused my hair to flatten too much and look like I didn't have as much hair.This makes my hair smooth and shiny but my hair still looks nice and thick. And it was SO much faster than a standard straightening iron is. You can grab quite a bit more hair and it holds onto it all the way down so you're not redoing places over and over.It's also way safer than anything else I've used. I had mine on 375 degrees and I was able to touch the iron everywhere with no problems at all. That really matters to me since I've burned myself badly with other straightening irons before.I rarely straighten my wavy mid-back length hair but I sure will be doing it more often now that it's this easy for me.My only issue is that my heat wouldn't go up or down and the buttons didn't do anything and it showed a tiny lock on the screen but I'm betting that's a user malfunction and I'll figure out what I'm doing wrong soon enough.I highly recommend this thing if you want a super fast safe way to straighten your hair without damaging it!

This Straightner is the S#!T!!!! Like literally!! It really does straighten your hair in one swipe. The only thing that you must do is make sure your hair is not in knots. If your hair is in knots then the straightener will not continue to straighten it. I don't ever write reviews at all but this product deserves one. For those people complaining about adding the water into a super tiny hole are exaggerating. The box comes with a small bottle that has a pointed end that will be very easy to pour the water onto the container. There is also multiple holes if different openings that you can use to add the water. Also the water does not run out fast if you set it to the right temperature for your hair (I set my straightener to 375 degrees for my hair). My hair is very curly and always in knots. Other straighteners that I've bought take way too long (like between an hour 15 to an hour 45) to straighten my hair. This product cut my time in half, probably even more. The picture only shows about a quarter of my hair straightened (which took me about 5 minutes) and a quarter of it curly.

I bought this as an alternative to the regular flat iron after watching several reviews on youtube. I was in the market for a steam straightener and this one appealed to me the most. I used it on my daughter's hair and it did fairly good with only one pass. I DID blowdry her hair before using this, but I didn't blow it straight. My daughter has 4a type natural hair. I dont like that bone straight hair, and this straightens the hair so you get a good amount of body to it. I think if I went over it more than one time I could have gotten it straighter. You have the option to turn the steam off which will turn this into a regular straightener. I have not used it without steam yet so I dont know how it will work; maybe if I use it I will come back and update this review.Everything is pretty easy to use, not too difficult. Just be mindful that the side where the steam comes out ALWAYS FACES DOWN! I would hate for anyone to burn their scalp by not knowing this. I attached a few pics of my daughters hair

This steam iron did not straighten my hair. The tines (comb portion) were too long which meant that I had to utilize a huge portion of hair to achieve enough pressure to straighten my hair, approximately 1/4 of my entire head of hair. Even this did not straighten my hair like my previous steam InStyler that finally stopped working. This unit would be okay if you have thick curly hair but ,if you don;t, you'll have straight frizzy hair, not at all smooth. I returned the iron & purchased the McBoo steam hair straightener & the difference was like night to day. You can straighten in small or larger amount of hair. In addition, it only required one pass for super straight hair. I decided on the McBoo after researching the numerous steam iron straighteners on-line, ranging from $10 to hundreds of dollars so I believe I was very fortunate to discover a product that works so well. The McBoo was only $15 more ($60), much less than I spent on the InStyler several years ago. I hope that this feedback helps all.

I received this product timely and received a follow-up email inquiring if I had received it and if I had any questions. This is my first hair straightener, but I no difficulty using it. It came nicely packaged with a long, heavy-duty cord. I have wavy hair that frizzes in high humidity. It was raining the first time I used it. My hair straightened easily and actually stayed straight the entire day even after going out in the rain several times with a head cover. I am very pleased with this product and would highly recommend it.
