Know what you are getting, and you won't be disappointed.
Don't buy this to reduce engine / road noise in the cabin. Do buy this to improve the quality of the sound system. It raises the natural resonance of the panels you apply it to. Basically, if you have a large, unsupported section of panel (think like drumhead), apply this to the middle. The added mass and lower transmissibility helps that section vibrate less when your woofers are pounding at lower frequencies.I did all four doors, the back wall, and over the transmission on my 2015 Toyota Tacoma (while also installing new speakers all around). I also used the Noico insulating foam over the sound deadening mat at all locations. This takes some serious time! It took two days to do the entire job. Use cardboard templates on the doors to make work easier (mirror / flip the templates for the other side of the car). Clean everything with isopropyl alcohol prior to adhering. Buy a roller. Wear gloves. In my experience, sound quality was drastically improved, allowing me to turn the volume all the way up without distortion or rattle, even on the bass-iest of songs (partially due to the new speakers). More reasonably, I can now run my sound system at around 30% volume, and virtually all road noise is drowned out. Prior to this, I could still hear road and engine noise while cruising, even with the volume maxed out. Without the stereo on, it makes the vehicle feel more "sound" or "stable" (hard to explain). All in all, if you are down to invest the time and effort to install this (significant), and understand what you will be getting out of it, you will find it worthwhile. The quality is every bit of the higher end products, at a price point that makes it worth doing.

Pretty solid for the price
I decided to do all new carpet in my mazda miata, my buddy told me about this stuff and i just HAD to try it!I ordered two boxes (one is enough for a miata) i did two to three layers and all i have to say is WOW, the amount of noise i would hear from inside the car was crazy since it’s so low (seen in the second picture) now i can hear everything including the things i don’t want to hear but in a way that’s good, i would have no idea right now that my back right axel is getting ready to snap if i didn’t do the sound deadening! It’s pretty easy to install, i would recommend doing a dry fit, then cut it to size. this stuff is super sticky so make sure you place it where you want cause there’s no going back!one last thing i have to say about this stuff is the cooling, if i remember correctly i did three layers on the transmission tunnel and the carpet will literally still be cool which is great for me because i hate being hot.over all this stuff is pretty great for such a low price, i’m not audio professional so i couldn’t tell ya if it was good for that but i honestly think it would!

Classic car insulation
Always a good product. Used in several cars. Best if used with the 80mil sound insulation as well. Delivered quickly

A good thermal barrier and it doesn't reflect sound.
It's exactly what the vendor says it is. The adhesive exceeds my expectation (so 5 stars on the adhesive!) I lined a 2018 Tacoma TRD cab with Noico 80 mil rubber, with this product on top of that. It's easy to cut, easy to apply, and it won't fall off. Ever. I have to admit, it was a little creepy how quiet the truck is after applying both products. It's about as noisy as a Lexus. I measured 62db peaks on a rough gravel road. Sweet!

very strong adhesive.
used in community with https://a.co/d/2xmrVZN under the rear seat to dampen exhaust noise. works very well to eliminate stray noises from surface to surface contact of wiring. very easy to use, just use a very sharp knife. adhesive is very strong. solid choice for the money.

Better Than Expected, Great Value
Pros:- Soaks up sound in every application used, as long as it's not deep bass.- It does insulate a bit. The cabin was more tolerable in negative weather. Hoping it's as effective this summer.Neutral:- Use the 315 mil for frequencies lower than 200 Hz, this is made for anything from 300Hz to 16KHz. Don't use this primarily to acoustically treat a sub in a trunk, it's not thick enough to absorb those forces.Cons:-Do not attempt to make it curve around surface. The weaker part will peel away. The foam is too rigid, as well as the adhesive isn't incredibly strong. To get around that you can use your blade to cut the apex or beginnings of each turn and relieve the tension that causes peeling, while still covering the whole curve.

Excellent Light Noise/Rumble Absorber - Tough & Easy To Apply
If you need a lighter sound deadener for applications like roofs, B or C pillars, trunks and places where weight and being thin are important, then this is what you want.Unlike the heavier foil-backed tar-based products for floors, this stuff is very lightweight. Combined with the excellent adhesion, it will stay put when applied upside down or on side panels. It's especially good for roof panels, applied just before a headliner is applied. It's completely unaffected by moisture and will noticeably quiet a cabin. The adhesive is extremely strong, so once you start to apply it, that's where it will live forever. Don't try to reposition it. As they say, measure twice - cut once. The surface should be reasonably clean but doesn't have to be perfect.I highly recommend this product when not used on floors. For that, use foil-backed tar/rubber based products.
