Kitty and the Moonlight Rescue (Kitty, 1)

My son loves cats so this book is a hit for him. The drawings are great and the story with the adventures is captivating.

I got these solely based on the covers and the name. (I know you're not supposed to do that but we're cat people who love to read.) When I got them, I was so excited to find out that they are chapter books. Yes, chapter books but meant for young readers. The words are fairly large and the chapters aren't long but it's more than a regular children's story book. My 8 year old has finished this one, the first one, and loooooved it! Every time she read it she talk about how much she loved it. I'm so glad I got all three and we can't wait until 4 comes out!

The first in the Kitty series. There’s a few things I don’t love in this one and the subsequent ones - emphasis on not crying when sad/upset, confusing messages about telling or not telling parents things (like middle of the night adventures), and a bit of language that I don’t care for. BUT - I still get them for my kid because she loves them and they are engaging and fun reads, with lovely illustrations.

This is by far one of the best early chapter books for kids. My two daughters instantly fell in love with Kitty and the cat crew. The pages in the paperback book are made of nice thick paper. Each page has beautiful illustrations and decorations. This book has a very special feel and look. The story has a wonderful message and actually has a plot despite being a book geared for younger readers.

Bought this for my preschooler who cannot read yet, in part for the story, but also the artwork throughout. We read the entire book in one sitting! It’s great to read aloud, too. And the artwork is lovely. Great for the Halloween season even though it’s not directly Halloween related. Excited to have discovered this series, and looking forward to reading the rest!

My 8 year old son liked this book series. He loves superheroes, pet cats & dogs, mysteries, adventures, deep animal relationships, and animal rescues, etc. So these books were perfect for him. All those cats with superpowers and a child becoming a super hero too just really hit a chord with him. Now keep in mind, my son will NOT read girly books of any kind - no Rescue Princesses, no Cupcake clubs, no fairy tale love stories, and absolutely no books with pink covers, etc. But, my son does not care if the main character is a girl or a boy as long as its a good story. He also enjoyed the book series: Secret Rescues, Kingdom of Wrenly, Cat Ninja, Mia Mayhem, Dragon Masters, Breaking Cat News, Korgi comics, etc.

Such a cute story with great characters that any cat lover would appreciate. I read it to my kindergartner and she really enjoyed it. The main character is a great role model - smart, kind and adventurous.

I got this as a Halloween gift for my 8 year old daughter. She loved it! She read this with in the day and asked for the next book which I went online to order for her.
