These gloves are thick. They will protect your hands from the heat if picking up a hot skillet or roasting pan. You can also put a hot pan directly on to keep from burning your counter. It is a good deal because you receive 2 gloves in your order. The gloves are good to protect your hands if you are using a knife to chop or slice. The gloves are thick so they can be some what cumbersome. However,I think they can be useful for anyone that cooks a lot

Performs great but not sure how many times you'll be able to wash these before they come apart.

Only 2 Sides of protection
Whether it’s this kind of material or the Silicone IMO you DON'T get protection above 350 degrees. At least you get protection on the top of your hands up to 350 but that’s all these gloves offer.

Perfect, no heat felt at all, for the most part.
Ok, I had the ov glove and some other supposed to be good for the oven. None are really that great till I found these. Fantastic. I feel no heat at all getting my pans out of the oven.Update:I had a tray that was at 450 degrees and walked across the room to the table with it. I was feeling the heat getting uncomfortable by the time I got to the table. So, apparently right out of the oven is excellent, longer not as much.

A hassle to get on
These oven gloves are well made and protect my hands from being burnt, but they're kind of a hassle to get on.....I wish I had bought oven mitts rather than gloves.

Great oven glove
Great glove for getting those hot items out of your stove. Have had them for a couple of months and they have held up great. Great gripping power. This loves allow you to grip the hot item without the worry of dropping the time with the oven gloves. Oven gloves causes you to lose control of the hot pan.Well made and thick. Would purchase again

These do the job but very ugly for kitchen use which is why I bought them there also huge!

much better than traditional mitt
Having individual fingers, as opposed to the traditional mitt, has been helpful when I'm making a sauce on the side counter and moving it over the grill to baste. Even though these are more expensive than the traditional mitt, this one is guaranteed to protect your hand and fingers from getting burned since it is double layered. You wouldn't even feel any heat. It is just great for cooking or handling with hot machines and engines.
