An Awesome Book! Hardcover – March 27, 2012

I got this for my sister in law for Christmas. She wants lots of books for when her newborn gets alittle older. It is kind of a different book so i don't know what she'll think but my husband and i absolutelyLove it! We will definitely get one for our kids when that day comes!Again, it is kind of a different style book so i would suggest reading it online first. I found it online for free, readit and then ordered.Can't wait to buy this for my kids!

I have the kindle edition of this book and I think it is a great book! I read this to my kids but I also ponder on the message for myself too. I want my children to increase their imagination and we look at the pictures, read the words, and at the right time "ROAR" to each other. I would like to think the focus of this book is to dream bigger dreams than you already are.The reason I give it 4 stars is it would be nice to zoom in to the pictures. As seen in the sample there are unicorns with rockets and it's hard to see the detail those on our kindles. We use the 7" tablets and perhaps this is partly my fault, but there are many books that I would like to zoom in to the single page or half page and see more detail. This book is full of wonderful art and we are missing some of it because of that.

Just as advertised - an AWESOME BOOK! As an adult, I'm a pretty bug fan of children's stories with a strong message that I can actually relate to even at age 30. This book has such an inspiring message about the dreams you have for yourself. Highly recommended for people of all ages. Just bought a copy for my sister, who has a 3 year old, but for me the book is really for her!

I bought this as a read aloud for my third graders to inspire them to dream big and stay positive before our big testing. It was such an uplifting book and it made them so happy during such a stressful time for my little kiddos. This will be a tradition each year.

Truly, an awesome book! Dallas Clayton is an incredible artist and the messages in the book speak to kids and adults alike. The illustrations are so fun. 10/10!!

This was a baby shower gift for a second baby, the first book for the first child was Awesome Book of Love. They were very excited to get another of his books.

This book's self-congratulatory title may be an indicator of a bit of the attitude within...Maybe I'm the only one with this opinion, as this book seems to be making a big stir, but I think this book is good, and could actually be awesome in so many ways, if it didn't have the several pages of snooty divisiveness (ordinary dreams vs. big dreams) - essentially judging and turning up the nose at some peoples' "ordinary" dreams (furniture, clothing, phones, money) (like, say, doing a commercial for Google to help sell books?) Sorry, but this is just disingenuous and unnecessary. Yes, there are places in the world where children dream of furniture and clothing.Examples: "there are places in the world where people dream up dreams so simply unfantastical and practical they seem to lose all possibility of thinking super things""instead they dream of furniture, of buying a new hat, of owning matching silverware, can you imagine that"Sure the book encourages big dreams and creativity, and has some really great illustrations, ideas and messages in other parts of the book, but lines like "there are places in the world where dreams are almost dead" and "sometimes they even dream of dreams that aren't even their own" are unnecessarily divisive, exclusionary, and negative (a little like this review), pitting "us against them" with its use of "they"... Where are these places in the world? What goes on in the 5 year old's head when hearing about these places? Entire countries? Cities? Which ones?If this book lost a few pages in the middle and kept more of the message from the beginning and end of the book, and changed its title, it could truly be awesome. Now, off to the licorice-covered flying leather-clad giant praying mantis mobile to feed the dreamy caramel hipster dream vaccines to the world's ordinary...

I got this book for my niece when she was around 5 yrs old, and just repurchased for a friend's child. It's a great book that teaches kids to dream big and let their imaginations run wild! As a note, the book is available online for free, if you want to check it out before you buy it. You just have to google awesome book free.

I first received this book as a gift when my kids were little and it became one of our favorites to read together. I still have a battered copy at home and have bought 6 or 7 further copies to gift to friends.Although his other books are equally wonderful, this is the one that I keep going back to.I'll buy a used one for now, but please can we put it back in print and in stock?

This is a gorgeous book that I think every child should own.I love its wonderful, fun illustrations and powerful positive message to DREAM BIG! It is really inspirational.I own a copy myself even though I don't have kids, i have bought for my neice and even for adult friends who need a bit of encouragement and inspiration. I think everyone can benefit from the message to look beyond the world's focus on consumerism and having more stuff and dream bigger than that because you can do anything you want to!Just lovely

Dallas Claytons books are my favorite...I have brought them many times as gifts! for children and adults...the messages are so sweet and relevant. Would highly recommend for any age. Plus the images are incredible!
