1-1/4-Inch Diameter Stainless Steel Shower Wall Grab Bar, 16-Inch

Wife and I are in our 70s and a tub and shower grab bar has become essential. This one had all the right specs and approvals, so I ordered it. When our handyman couldn't install it for several weeks, I did it myself. Not an easy job when the wall is 60-year-old ceramic tile over 4 layers of real plaster. That's like sinking stainless steel lag bolts into concrete. I didn't have to buy those bolts. SS bolts came with it.I don't take baths because once I drop my oversize into the tub, I can't get out. But I ran the water, stripped down, and gave the bar a try. It sure did the job. A professional safety bar gave me full control from entering to sitting to rising to exiting.And I stopped worrying about my very grateful wife. She convinced me she's in full control now.

Wish it was textured for a better grip. I had to add some textured strips to it myself. Other than that, it is great.

Very strong and comfortable to crab.
