Works wonderfully with CatGenie, ALL my cats love it, less expensive AND it is environment friendly
DO NOT LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS, they either are fake reviews or they come from people who do not use the litter box as intended. I have 4 cats (including one with Fluffy Maine Coon type hair) so, believe me, the CG is put to good use, so is this litter. I have not had the slightest issue with this product at all so much so that I keep on buying it. I have purchased another CG that I will connect (PROPERLY) to a laundry line and I am not considering using ANY other type of pellets. So let me tackle these misleading negative reviews:Clogging: NO, WHEN USED AS INTENDED, IT DOES NOT CLOG THE CG overnight, and after a couple of uses. This is BS. If this indeed clogging happened, these people probably had their CG all caked up with poo mixed with hair prior to the change of pellets, or they did not use a Wye Fitter to connect their CG to the laundry drain and/or their mainline was all caked up with soap scum and human hair so this is not about the pellets, it is about people not maintaining their house or following instructions accordingly.Other probability, they put too many granules and during drying, the scoop picked up too many wet granules and dumped them all in the grinder where they sat sticky and wet until the next wash which resulted in the error message, Other probability: They run their CG manually when there is a ton of poo in it to save on sanisolution (Rings a bell, huh?) or they lost or "forgot" to put the Genie ball back in the hopper.Lesson learned: USE YOUR CatGenie AS INSTRUCTED ON THE MANUAL: Run and Clean your CG on a regular basis and as instructed, do not overfill it, brush your cats, make sure you maintain your house accordingly and it won't happen! As I said, I have a multiple cats household and I have been using these granules with no issues AT ALL. The photo shows what comes out from these granules after a full washing cycle, the little particles are the size of a grain of dust (much smaller than sand) and few and far in between so there is NO WAY this clogs a mainline or the CG by itself. You have particles the first couple of times the CG runs with new pellets then almost none. In comparison, our washing machine pumps 10 times more cr** than that in your mainline from your gardening gear or kids' clothes (kleenex left in pockets, playdoh caked clothes, grass, paper), let alone (apologies for the gruesomeness) people's #2s that your toilets are evacuating! So don't listen to nonsensical users doing nonsensical things and blaming it on everything else they can think of. This is a great product that works perfectly with the CG.

Better than the OEM stuff
Gave this litter a try because I'm tired of watching the Cat Genie brand litter literally get flushed down the drain. I think that CG litter is designed to stick to everything so you have to buy more from them - which makes sense given their other questionable practices. The Cat Genie company is pretty evil. Read up on them.Anyway, this litter is more round and doesn't seem to stick to the scooper. The cat also seems quite happy with it. This litter will likely last much longer and I'll buy again once I do eventually run out.UPDATE: After 5 months, I can say this stuff is far superior to the OEM stuff. Last so much longer, since much less of it gets scooped up by the CG, or tracked around the house but the cat. No issues using this stuff with the Cat Genie. I'm also on a septic system and have no issues there. A great buy!

Better
Pros-Hurts less when I step on themDoesn't need refilling as often (especially with the new version of OEM wowsa I'm going through those like crazy)Our cats prefer themSlightly less outrageous in costBreaks downCons-Breaks down so can clog the septic at a certain point during it's breakdown processStill pretty expensiveStill tracksNeutral-Neither better nor worse on smell retentionNeither better nor worse on noiseFor our household the fact that they will wait in line to use this one over the genie with the OEM is the difference maker. They give both the sniff test, sometimes even entering the OEM briefly but sometimes will just wait until the one with these in it is done with it's cycle so I guess they have spoken lol.

Just purchased and so far it’s solved my biggest problem
*Long review* I purchased this product because my younger cat absolutely hated the Catgenie litter. He would pee in it but absolutely refuses to go poo. He would go on the liter mat or next to the box. It was incredibly frustrating. With there being very little options I went with this one for the biodegradable factor. NO MESSES i have not had to clean up cat poop! I am so happy he likes this litter! It is a little heavier than Catgenie litter so I recommend not filling it completely to the full line. It tracks less than the genie litter too! I also cleaned out the Catgenie in full and washed everything before I put this kind in to give it a clean start after reading the clogging reviews. I’ve only had it for a week, but so far there have been no clogs, no messes, and no missed poop from the cycle. I will update if it clogs, but as of now this has solved my only problem with the genie and I am very happy with the product!
