Not Bad But Needs Improvement
Just received minutes ago and so far I'm not enthused. The length is just under 3.5 feet--good for a child/teen/shorter person but for a 5'11" adult it's just too short. Maybe add another 2 feet of sections and it'd be great. One of the knife blades is crooked so it scrapes some when connecting lengths together. That means a dull blade. The screwdriver bit goes into the socket firmly--so much so that I'll likely need pliers to switch to the flathead side.Otherwise the sections appear to connect very nicely and securely. Each length has a rubber O-ring so I'd imagine being able to keep other items dry--such as fire starter materials and a simple EDC style fishing kit.The compass is junk--if the bubble gets caught under the dial it won't move. I had to jostle it pretty good to get the bubble out. Not that I'd rely on it in anything other than an emergency situation. Also the plastic dome is cracked on the one I received. This pole comes with a case to store it in when broken down, however I see that as useful only if storing it in your vehicle. Each piece has to be fully disassembled, with the tool removed and placed inside each tube, for it to properly fit into the pouch.Overall I'd give it a 3 star rating. Looks sturdy and durable but the overall length just doesn't cut it for an average to tall person. I can see fully disassembling each little piece would become tedious over the long term.
