Like the concept of this product but needs work
I just received it. Tested it. It only works on thin bags, like potato chip bags, and ziplog bag types. It is ok for them. Wax bags that hold candies etc, does not work. I do like it for now. Do not expect it to work on bags thicker then chip bags. I still think it is a cool tool, and it is a good tool for the bag of foods we use here in the house. I am tired of the clips. I like that it has a magnet holder to place it on the refrigerator for easy access. Will give it a try.6/5/2016 Update Have tried it a couple of times, takes work to close bags. Not easy. Still have it. On the fridge door. It just isnt that great. Do not use it as much, just takes too long to try to close bags.

DO NOT BUY THIS
DID NOT WORK, I waited about 6-7 weeks to even try it, the return policy was 30 days - don't do that. I do it all the time and Amazon is good about accepting them (some people just aren't in a hurry to try things), but I recommend everyone try to at least see if your product works before letting that return period lapse.BUT DON'T BUY THIS, it just doesn't work. Well maybe it would have if the batteries could have gotten into the case, but it was bent and defective itself.There are other brands, try one of them.

Works really well; need to start eating more chips now.
Pretty amazing what a tiny device can do. Just note that parts of the bad that are more than 2 layers will need additional attention.This is the only device of its kind that had a built in cutter (which works really well, too).Welcome addition to my collection of kitchen gadgets.Verdict: I want to say that this is the best of its kind available (in the micro sealer variety). Useful if you eat a lot of chips, which I don't, but that's not the device's fault.

Nice item with a couple added bonuses that similar items usually don't have
Works fairly well, as well or better than other similar items I've tried. This has a couple minor but useful features I haven't seen in other items, I especially like the magnetic holder, I keep it right on the fridge. The ripper/opener is also a nice bonus, but I haven't used it yet. I have found the battery cover can be a bit finicky to put back on, but I've been able to get it on with a little effort.

Not a gimmick
People act like this is a gimmicky thing, but we really like ours. It keeps our chips and cereal from getting stale.I will say, it's pretty easy to rip through the bag if you get it too hot, and you might not wanna use this on a bag that you open and close often because you have to keep going further down the bag to close it each time.

Cover comes off
The position of the battery cover causes the cover to come off. You have to depress the sealer to seal, which is the same direction as removing the cover.

Great Compact Mini Sealer
Work well to desired specifications. Sustains repeated use. Magnetic clip holder is a definite plus and will hold well against a fridge or just about any metal surface. Caution: this is a high drain device. I purchased rechargeable high amp AA batteries for maximum efficiency and the results are excellent. Good buy.
