Roland Mc-101 Aira Dj Groovebox - Pocket Production Studio, A Portable, Compact Four-Track Version

If you do purchase the MC-707 make sure to update the firmware to 1.2 There are now many more new features added to this already very impressive Groovebox. So many on board sounds to choose from you're basically spoilt for choice. So easy to get a track down in moments, tones and loopers are added with no fuss and it's simple to do. With the added bonus now of sample slicing and track recording via the update, you can now grind out a unique jam all your own. I added a 32gb sd card recently and packed it with all kinds of samples, loops and vocals. Yes it lacks a song mode still but that was never deal breaker for me personally, although this may still be something for a future update? When it comes to the MC-707 though the only limit is your imaginantion. Very happy I purchased this Roland product, although I still think its a little pricey but in the end you do get what you pay for here, quality. It really is a versatile machine and one you may consider if like me you own other Roland gear. Works great along side the TR-8s. I have both connected on aira ports via my MX-1 mixer which again already adds to the impressive amount of filter and scatter effects of the MC-707. All in all just great fun!

This is my first groove box and an introduction to making music. At first, the functions seem very intimidating..the detailed manual must be downloaded and there are over 52 pages of all the built in sounds that come with this piece of kit. Having had it for a few weeks now, I have learnt mostly by just literally messing around with it. A very powerful groove box, with endless functions and best of all, you feel like a professional once you master the basics. Highly recommended, but patience is required.

Super new groove, deep machine, fairly simple to grasp loads of hold shift and another key, but that is fine, has good features, sequencer is good, loads of modern stuff, probability triggers, or whatever its called, like electron, I had an octatrack, it was easier but bigger, more buttons, this is a good update for sure, had a mc 307 back in the day it was cool but I went computer for a long time, this is cooler

Better then a digitakt and better synths and more of a instrument then a mpc. also works as an audio interface, keeps getting updates and has good I/O

I love the fact that you all several thousand sounds (around 3000 I think) the same as the more expensive MC707 (which I also own). I bought this to make music on my way to work. It’s nice to make music not using a laptop. It’s got 4 tracks and it recently has had a software update which has added several new features including an arpeggiator. There isn’t a steep learning curve either, and there’s lots of helpful videos on YouTube. It’s a great portable music making machine, and if you bounce samples you can exceed the 4 track limit.

I own a number of machines in this category (Novation Circuit, Electribe, OctaTrack) and I'm really impressed. The huge library of presets makes up for lack of sound design features. The effects are superb, and so is the sequencer. There's lots of features you don't get in much more expensive bits of gear. Very happy

I was looking forward to my MC 707, however the build quality on Rolands products has subsided over the years, I have a Juno GI which was mint out the box, absolutely amazing. However this Groovebox wasn't, the FXPRM knob has a loose LED ring, that moves when you move the knob, and it shouldn't. The actual casing was screwed on incorrectly and was wonky out the box NEW, the overall functions are ok, but you take a gamble on build quality with Roland nowadays. I did send a mail to Roland but never got a response, they don't care about loyal customers anymore.

Just buy it endless hours of fun, great little tool, incredibly versatile. I bought this as a substitute for of an OP-1 TE, incredibly overpriced, I know the MC101 has not all the functionalities of the OP-1 but it covers the main ones at a quarter of the price. Buy it!

Bonjour, Je voulais étendre mes équipements, cet appareil fait amplement le job. Je m'en sers comme expander, ayant déja le fantom derniere génération, il n'y a pas de différence sur les sont de bases. On se plongeant dans le manuel, on peut aller beaucoup plus loin que mon utilisation. La dernière version du firmeware permet de pousser plus loin les limitations. J'avoue que l'utilisation peut être complexe au départ, mais l'investissement se justifie avec les efforts. Si on aime le son Roland, satisfaction garantie. Bonne acquisition.

Ich bin nach vielen Jahren wieder zur Musik zurückgekehrt und habe ein Gerät gesucht, welches gute Drums und Basissounds anbietet. Die Groovebox bietet weit aus mehr, was dem Neu- oder Wiedereinsteiger zu Beginn etwas überfordert. Der Funktionsumfang ist heftig aber der logische Aufbau hilft die steile Lernkurve zu überwinden. Was mich begeistert: Das Teil ist nahezu komplett: - massig Sounds, die man editieren kann - massig Drumssets, die auch frei zusammengestellt werden können - Sampler - freibelegbare Pads - ein Mixer - Effekteinheiten - und jeder der 8 Kanäle hat drei Drehknöpfe, die bei jedem Kanal individuell mit Effekten oder Filder belegt werden können Ich muss hier auch ein "aber" loswerden. Mein Gedanke war es, ein Gerät anzuschaffen, welches unabhängig von PC und Midisoftware arbeitet. Also eine kleine überschaubare Workstation, wo zunächst maximal nur eine Miditastatur dran kommt. Das kann die MC-707 auch. ABER man muss sich auch darüber im klaren sein, dass man dann mehr im Kopf arbeiten muss und den Song nicht im Stück, auf dem Bildschirm vor sich sieht. Das kann schon anstrengend werden, wenn man nicht mal eben mit drei Mausklicks unterschiedliche Parts oder Spuren des Songs flott kopieren oder editieren kann, weil eben die Übersicht fehlt. Die MC-707 ist in dem was sie macht schon allein am Markt. Ja, es gibt die MPC's und andere, die auch super sind. Aber sie haben etwas andere Ansätze, sind vom Sampler abhängig oder haben nicht die kultigen Roland-Sounds. Wunschgedanke: Wenn das Teil anstelle des kleinen Displays einen Bildschirm hätte und man die Songs wirklich unabhängig vom PC produzieren könnte ... Mama ;)

動画にちょっとした音楽を入れたくて購入しました。 音楽の知識やセンスが全くない私でも、少し練習すれば陳腐ではありますが、それっぽいフレーズはできます。 Youtubeにはいろんな動画もあるので、参考になります。 私レベルならMC-101でも充分だと思いますが、操作のしやすさで707を購入しました。 回収できるよう頑張ります。

J’ai acheté ce produit il y a quelques mois ! Je l’utilise à lâ maison fixe . Depuis aujourd’hui… le bidul plastique qui permet l’activation ON / OFF m’est resté entre les doigts !! Moins de 2 ans de pratique ! J’espère tres vite trouver une solution pour cette achat !

Gran macchina con potenzialità esagerate . Il primo pacco avvertito era il fatto che per passare da un progetto ad un altro devo fermarla e caricare il progetto . Appena ho cercherò di trasferire dal mac alla macchina dei campioni la macchina. Ha iniziato a svalvolare e a sprogramarsi . Avevo già creato 5 mega progetti andato a ramengo .
