DELL Optiplex 9020 Ultra Small Tiny Desktop Micro Computer PC (Intel Core i5-4570T, 16GB Ram, 512GB Solid State SSD, WiFi, Bluetooth, HDMI Win 10 Pro'] (Renewed)

As a retired Systems Engineer who likes to experiment, I was looking for a small footprint PC to use to host the Home Assistant application for local (non-cloud) control of our smart home devices. Since I was going to wipe any OS and load the Home Assistant OS, Win11 compatibility was not a concern. The DELL Optiplex 9020 Ultra Small Tiny Desktop Micro Computer PC fit the requirements including price perfectly. While I am still in the tweaking phase of the project as each Smart Device has their own quirks and some of my devices are "old", the tiny 9020 is working perfectly for this application.

This PC has been great. I bought it to carbon copy replace the same exact model which died. I planned to swap the hard drive out of the old into this one. It was not booting. A day later I checked the SETTINGS in the BIOS and discovered it was in UEFI boot mode ... and the old SSD hard drive had been created in LEGACY mode. After changing related settings to get LEGACY mode it booted just fine. Took it back to work (office) and inserted it back into same place the old PC had been and it's working fine.

Suddenly wouldn’t start after 4 months, or just after your cheap 90 day warranty expired….. in my opinion that is really really bad……. It worked fine before this. I thought it was the power supply, but tvsf wasn’t it. So it’s probably the damn motherboard. I’ve owned a lot of computers and never had a motherboard go out on me….. and definitely not in 4 months. There is no way you should be able to sell me something that is going to break in 4 months when nothing I did caused this issue. It just sat on my desk and I didn’t do anything that would put stress on this unit. This is your fault. You sold me a faulty piece of garbage and i am forced to pay the price…. When i looked this up the power supply that came with this was not made for a dell. It said online that it was made for a Hewlett-Packard….. That very well may have something to do with why it isn’t working. U best know I will look into this. I’m very unhappy

good product so far. Did have issue that it locked up and required 46 digit unlock code to open. We were able to retrieve that, luckily, from our Microsoft account and turn off Bitlocker so buyers be aware. Turned on in Win 11 by defalult we found out! If you don't have a personal Microsoft account, you have to call the manufacturer to get a code. Cannot give a 5 star as the box was missing the power cord from the module to the wall plug. Left vendor feedback but they have not responded thus far. Having to share cords with another device which is annoying.

Product is as described. It came with a display port to HDMI adapter. The reported Bluetooth and WIFI are accomplished with a provided USB dongle. It also came with a new keyboard and optical mouse. The whole package appears as new. I downloaded a more recent BIOS and drivers from Dell before also updating the Windows 10 Pro OS. I'm using this to replace a large tower. I love the small size. More recent CPU's and memory are available in some other low cost e.g. Precision 7060 and 7040, but this one had more memory, larger storage, SSD and Win10Pro. All I need. Very happy so far.
