Pictorial account of the preparation and transportation of the CIA A-12 Blackbird from the Skunk Works in Burbank, California to Area 51. They couldn't fly it, because the program was oo secret, so the first A-12 Article 121 had to be disassembled and driven to Area 51. See photos taken by the Skunk Works manager who was in charge of moving this prototype Blackbird, which was later flown by Lou Schalk on it's maiden flight on 26 April 1962. The book and postcard are signed by author and A-12 pilot Lt. Col. Frank Murray (USAF, Ret.), who discovered USS Pueblo on one of his A-12 overflights over Asia.
