The man of property. By: John Galsworthy Paperback – February 16, 2017

Great historical fiction, especially if you enjoy dysfunctional families. I love the ironic tone the narrator takes towards the Forsytes, and was pleased to see that some characters came around and learned their lessons... and some did not. A few minor typos, but a pretty readable Kindle edition.

The story was interesting for it's time in history. It was a bit too wordy for my tastes. A sentence with 20 words when 5 would work. Of course it does need a lot of words to describe that era.

It was not a great book but good enough to like. Sometimes the language was a little hard to grasp since it was written in the old style. I would recommend reading it.

The author wrote in a disorganized manner that leaves the reader wondering who was speaking and the point to be made. It did not grasp my interest in the beginning though improved later. It was an easy book to put down and the end was disappointing.

Enjoyable story of an up-and-coming English family and how greed, conformity and false morality can destroy lives.

Boring read. Didn't finish because of stilted language.
