Henné Organics Luxury Lip Balm - Natural and Organic Moisturizer - 0.35 Ounce Jar

This is an amazing lip balm! It has the perfect amount of butters and oils so it's not hard, not too oily and it goes on smooth and stays on until I eat. I have a terrible addiction to lip balm . I have to use it after i eat or drink or brush my teeth. I use it several times a day and I am very picky about lip balms. It is extremely difficult to find one that is perfect so I am super happy to have found this one! Sure it's expensive, but it won't dry out lips, it doesn't have petroleum or other chemicals. It is 100% safe and pure moisturizing indulgence. What we put on our lips does end up in our bodies, we actually eat it because it's on our lips. This is the safest and best working lip balm I have found. I recommend this to any lip balm addict!

I ordered this for the first time recently along with several other Henné products. The packaging is beautiful (black glossy container with elegant branding). And the quality of ingredients are outstanding. I'm a lip balm nerd. Originally from Fairbanks, Alaska (where there's like zero humidity and lots of cold and wind), I have been on a quest for the perfect lip balm for almost 50 years! I think I've finally found it ... I have both the stick and pot version of the balm. The formula is WONDERFUL! I use the balm every day and each time, it's like a treat for my lips and the senses. Super cushiony on the lips, very lightly scented, and absolutely works. My lips have never been so healthy (I'm using also with Henné's lip exfoliator, mask, and serum). Thank you Henné!!!

Love this lip balm! Finally I can hydrate my lips without the guilt of using some petroleum based products (you know which ones I'm talking about!). I love the natural scent and the texture, which may take a little time to get used to as it is different from most out there. Some people have commented on greasiness, but I think if you keep it in a cool place it's just fine. The only time I felt that way was when I first received the package, and it has sat in the mail box in a hot afternoon... Anyways, great product, very nourishing to my seriously chapped lips. Definitely would recommend it to anyone!

Ok product. Not much different from the many others I've tried.

I have only been using this product for a few days so these are my initial impressions. I will update this review later if they change. When I opened the jar the balm appears as any other jar balm. It smells very lightly of cocoa butter which is pleasant. When touching my finger to the balm the 1st time I was surprised at how soft it was. You have to be gentle when you take the product to apply it or you will have way too much and end up wasting some. If you put the balm in your pocket, it will almost become liquid. The application was very smooth and pleasant. It applies very thinly unlike the majority of balms I've tried. It doesn't have a waxy base or feeling. It actually feels more like a serum but it dosent fully absorb and disappear. Coming from waxy balms this will take some getting used to. It has decent staying power and lasts through drinking my coffee in the morning. The taste is pleasant and very lightly of cocoa butter. It has no added flavors or fragrances which I like. I'm not sure how well it will moisturize my lips as I have a bad habit of licking them and removing alot of product. The waxy balms tend to stay better. I am working on this. Overall, I am pleased with the balm.

UPDATE 3-26-16: I ended up developing a reaction. My dermatologist said even products that say organic and natural have chemicals and scents that can easily cause reactions. So I'm now only able to use petroleum jelly stuff on my lips (since it's impossible to be allergic to that he said). Oh well, good luck to others! A lot of these reviews seem a bit too similar, so im not sure if they are legit, but heres one that is. I am allergic to 99% of all chapsticks and lip balms. Have been for a few years, not sure why, but all of a sudden every one I used made my lips red swollen and painful. I thought recently I had found one that I wasnt (Fresh sugar lip treatment, that I received as a tiny sample in my Sephora order), but low and behold, I went out to buy a full size tube of it, used it one night, and I woke up with swollen red irritated lips (as I always do once I become allergic to a chapstick). Its winter so this one was particularly bad, and they were swollen red and painful for 2 days, then proceeded to peel and crack. This started about 3 days ago. I searched the internet for something, anything that once and for all I could use... and I stumbled on organicbunny.com who raved about this stuff. I love that its not tested on animals, which is something I am passionate about nowadays in my products, but I literally started using it last night and within an hour the dry flakey lips had gone away and my lips are healing already from the allergic reaction. I am always skeptical as a purchaser since nothing has worked for me so far, but I am extremely happy to say this has and I have to reapply it 1/4 of the amount of times as normal chapstick since it stays on much longer (its more of a gliding smooth lip balm, than a sticky one). So if you have lip allergies like me, and cant use any chapsticks with petroleum or spf, at least just give this a shot, because I have finally found a product I can wear. Thank you Henne! My original review of this product was not a favorable one, however, the Seller asked if I would try it again because my order had come from a bad batch. I accepted the offer. Indeed, this jar is much better than the first. It has a buttery yellow look and a velvety smooth texture [unlike the other jar]. I mostly use this at bedtime [around the lips as well as on], and in the morning my lips feel soft, smooth and hydrated, which lasts quite a while mind you. A little goes a long way, you don't need to slather it on. I also like the faint, non-overpowering scent of cocoa butter. I don't see any reason why you couldn't use this under your other lipcare products, especially if they tend to be a little overdrying. I like that this is organic as well [remembering that what goes on your lips, eventually goes in your mouth]. We pay a lot of attention to our hair, face, skin and nails, why not our lips. I'm happy that I gave this a 2nd chance.

I bought it looking for a lib balm similar to the Nuxe one. The Nuxe one stay all night long and your lips are hydrated in the morning… this one quickly goes away. It seems a very good quality product but doesn’t stays so your lips will continually be dry.
