Midwest Barrel Company Authentic Red Wine Oak Barrel Staves, Set of 25 Staves

Very nice authentic wood to get creative with. The aroma is warming and definitely full of character.

I was very excited when these came in. The shipping was quicker than expected, so that was a nice surprise. And the staves are nice and clean - looks like they may have given them a slight sanding to clean up. The oak is a nice light color so I can use them as is, with a little clear coat or stain to any deepness I would like.I'll be using these for vertical lettering - for personal projects. I may consider putting them as part of my collection for home craft paint parties that I do. Sizes vary - which is expected, but none too narrow to be usable.

Staves are as expected but came with lots of crystals on the inside-barrel side. Excited to make into some tasting trays, but will need to do a little extra sanding.

Very Good product! They were in really good shape for my project. A little dirty but with a mild sopay water the dirt came off and with a bit of wood stain and poly they came out perfect!! Some stave were cracked but it just added character!!

Made lights fixtures out of these. Just fantastic authentic quality.

These were shipped quikly. What I received was exactly what was advertised. "AUTHENTIC WHISKEY BARREL STAVES – These reclaimed oak staves of used whiskey and bourbon barrels are from the heart of Bourbon Country, Kentucky; Each stave will look just as it did when it came off the barrel. Dark, charred interior and dark stained, rustic exterior." I expected the black charring and rustic appearance. These were not expected to be new or cleaned. Have already ardered more.

I'm using these to make a liquor cabinet.The staves are thoroughly charred (on the inside). I'm trying to encapsulate the char (poly?, resin?), but it sands off easy if you go that way.

These are excellent for most any stave project!Five bucks for the stave, two for the tea candles, a couple of coats of shellac, poly, or lacquer, and you have a $50 candle holder. Friends and family really appreciate these as gifts.These are ‘raw’ staves and must be cleaned to control the char. But when cutting or drilling these, that distinct aroma of Kentucky bourbon fills the air.
