I did NOT get this product for free and so my review is actually unbiased :)I'm shortening this review because it was getting long-winded with all of the edits.Most important stuff:1. It does a nice job grinding. It does have ceramic grinders, if that matters to you.2. I'm skeptical of the course/fine adjustment. It's just a matter of how tightly you screw on the retainer at the end of the grinder. The mechanical engineer in me is convinced that this is a bad design that will constantly loosen up and I will be forever adjusting it. Time will tell.3. Customer service has been responsive and thorough. Many sellers offer this product, but I'm happy with my interaction with Sniggly.Now on to fit and finish:1. The end caps are a stupid design. I'm not sure what they are for. I will probably throw them away. Who wants to constantly be popping on and off endcaps?2. It came with a note to wash before use. Considering washing involves a complete disassembly, this is a real pain in the... donkey. It should come ready-to-use.3. While washing, I used very hot water and completely immersed the parts. I think that was too aggressive, and the glue holding the stainless endcap on let go. The seller has been very good about replacing the unit, so I gave a star back.4. A purely aesthetic comment - I don't like the prominent logo on both ends. It removes easily with "Goof Off", so I'm not worried about it. The unit looks better without :)I'm attaching pictures of the grinding mechanism, the endcap that became loose (with logo visible), and the grinder filled up and with logos removed.

This thing is a piece of crap. The end caps don't stay in place and the "sheath" does not stay in place on the salt side because the glue holding it on didn't work so in order to make the grinder work I have to take it off. I want to return this but I just past the 30 day return policy limit so I'll have to call Amazon to see if they will let me return it.

One side of the grinder was not functioning upon arrival.

This is one of the most awesome salt and pepper 'shakers' that I have ever seen. I filled one side of the clear acrylic side of the device with pink himalayan rock salt, the other side with whole multi-colored peppercorns. With the stainless steel on both ends, it looks so attractive on our dark wood table! It is easy to fill/refill. Simply remove the end cap, unscrew a small black screw, lift out the small plastic piece that fits over the screw and fill it up - it holds plenty! What do I like the best? The fine grind. I do love freshly cracked pepper - don't get me wrong - but I do not like biting into a large piece of black pepper - that is all you taste - not the food you put in onto. I don't have to worry about that with this grinder. Both the salt and pepper come out finely ground. I did purchase this item at a discount in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. Would I recommend it? By all means - yes - I WILL recommend it. It is a very well made product and would make a great gift! I hope this review has been helpful in your buying decision.

Product broke after 6 months of use. There is no way to get the promised lifetime warranty as the seller does not exist anymore.The ceramic grinder is held in place by a screw and after continued use, the screw sprang free and the ceramic end falls out. Now it will no longer stay in place.I am not alone with this issue. You'll see other reviews with this

I got this salt and pepper Grinder because it looked pretty cool and it was a great 2 in 1 for any spices I have. My issues with this device is the fact that you have to over fill it to make it look full. Once you turn it over, most of the contents fill the base and it looks only half full. My other issue is adjusting the ground size. It looks simple enough, but making the adjustment is difficult. The plastic grinders shift while grinding, so you'll get fine-large size pieces coming out unless you have it on the fine or large side of the spectrum. Would be better if this element was harder plastic or better yet, metal. After a few tries, one side won't even adjust anymore. I'll eventually spend a few dollars more for a better version. This will have to do for now.

Edited: So it worked great for about three months, then the salt end grinder has completely broken. I was contacted by the seller who provided a replacement with no fuss. Apparently there is a lifetime warranty! Hope we don't keep breaking them but nice to deal with a very honest seller.
