Very useful product
Great product. First try may not be the best - but after that it's perfectly fine. I would say, and I'm not a medical professional for the record, but in my opinion it's very accurate. It's extremely easy to use - just press the button, put your finger in and you have your reading. The display quality is very good and the display itself is simple and easy to read. The finger sits inside nice and snug, one little thing is that if your blood circulation is not great then your finger can get cold inside there. It comes with a lanyard however I have not been able to attach it. The protection is also quite good. Overall I would say it's a great product.

Fantastic for the money
Purchased this to monitor my elderly grans observations after two recent hospital admissions - we've been recording the details and sending them to the doctor. It has given us great peace of mind as both of her admissions could have been prevented if we had monitored her heart rate and oxygen levels a couple of days before (her condition results in her oxygen levels and heart rate going very low, and apparently this would be the case for a few days before admission). Luckily, she's now on the correct medications to treat it, but I purchased this as an affordable device to give us and her some peace of mind. All of her readings have been normal (in fact, better than my own!) It's very good quality (actually feels 'hospital-grade'). It's very very easy to use (just press the button and put it on your finger), you wait a couple of seconds, it's very quick. It also has a very good feature that it bleeps at you if any of the observations are below the normal range (it has bleeped at me a few times!). Interestingly I had a recent visit from a NHS 111 paramedic and I gave them the reading from this - they then put me on their equipment, and the readings were identical, so I'm very re-assured by the accuracy of this device! I cannot comment on the battery life as I've not had it *that* long yet, but it has lasted over a month so far without needing the batteries changed.

Review From a Pharmacist
This product is excellent and gives clear blood oxygen saturation readings. It can be used by healthcare professionals or patients. When placing on finger, you should wait for around 1 minute before taking the reading as it can take time to adjust (this happens with all similar devices). It’s great value for money, especially if you can get it on sale (like me). When oxygen saturation is low (for healthy people) it sounds a bleep to inform you which can be useful if you are not sure what the numbers should be.

It's growing on me.
First oximeter I've owned. Initially thought I'd return it, as I was getting unreliable readings - sometimes showing as low as 80, or even 50 on 1 occasion, would vary over time on 1 finger and between fingers. But, after researching I came to realise that they don't work well / at all on cold fingers (I have poor circulation in my fingers). So now, I make sure to swing my arms about to get some blood in my fingers and warm them up first. I only use it on the first and second fingers, as it's unreliable on my 3rd and 4th, and I usually take several readings on both hands, before feeling confident in the result. I've also read that it's normal for these oximeters to vary by a few %, so I don't think I'd ever rely on just 1 or 2 readings. Don't know if others are better, but think I'll stick with this one for now.
