If you have a lot of papers and don’t want to buy pre rolled cones, so this works great. Typically use king size papers but also works with 1/4 size easily, you could use almost any length.

does what it's supposed to do
I've always found hand-rolling a cigarette paper into a cone to be difficult. A tapered pin makes it much easier and this will do exactly that. The only problem I ran into is that it's difficult to wrap a Raw Perfecto filter onto this mandrel and then actually get it to stay in place as well as being compact while rolling the paper is fairly difficult. I, instead, wrapped a filter onto the end and then used a small bit of tape to hold it in place. This will remove the step in the diameter that holds the filter so it is more like a simple tapered pin. I can hand-roll the filter tip and drop it into the paper after the cone is formed, which is much easier. If you have access to a lathe, you could make this in under an hour - just set the compound at about 2.5 degrees, support the end of the workpiece with a live center, and plan to make a part that is about 3 inches long and a little less than 12mm (1/2 inch) in diameter at the large end. Works just as well.

I like making my own cones.
Special papers take getting used to.

Awesome!
Perfect, just what I was looking for. I’ve been rolling for over 12 years and still can’t roll a joint but this is so simple but a lifesaver. Took me about 10 times to get the rolls decent (I can get better). Oh...don’t forget to slide the filter (if you have filters) over the slim end and then roll. Awesome!
