Schatten Dualie-Inside'R Internal Mount Pickup w/Jack

I bought this pickup for a guitar that I didn't want to put obvious holes in. The pickup sound good but the output is low. I will probably need to reinstall after thinning the putty even more. May try mounting to my JLB Bridge Doctor the next time I change strings. If not, I may need to buy a preamp.

Puts out a decent amount of signal so it can be used without a pre-amp. Nice acoustic sound when playing open string chords, not quite as good on barred chords. Picks up string and body sound which is to be expected with a sound board transducer. Nice price. My first location under the pick-guard was not good, picked up too much noise from fingers hitting the guitar and noise from strings. Second location on the bass side x brace sounds decent. I think it sounds more natural than a under-saddle piezo pickup.

Due to size and top sheet construction of ukulele, I was ubable to properly place the pickup to optimizethe sound transmission needed for an overall balanced sound. I purcahsed a K and K mandolin pick upand it works fantastic.

I had a Schatten Inside'R installed in my ukulele with good results. It was worth having a luthier do the installation, and I'm please with the versatility and good sound quality of the pickup.
