Thomas Earnshaw timepieces pay homage to Thomas Earnshaw, commonly known as the father of the modern marine chronometer. Born on February 4, 1749, Earnshaw served under the tutelage of William Hughes, a watchmaker in London. His improvements to the standard chronograph of his time was quickly patented and put under the test of time, and they are still implemented in today's modern chronograph construction.
