This support pillow is exactly what I needed to take pressure off my lower spine when sitting for any length of time (especially on a hard wooden chair). I ordered this at the suggestion of a chiropractor, because I was starting to have nerve symptoms (weakness, tingling, and even some numbness) down my legs, and even into my groin, from slouching and pinching nerves and muscles as I got more and more tired when sitting to type, surf the internet, watch TV, or read. This pain and tingling would formerly lead me to shift my position often and even slouch in new ways, which was messing up the alignment along my spine in such a way as to eventually cause middle and upper back symptoms as well.I am still doing PT exercises to ease the causes and effects of the discomfort in my upper and middle back before I got this pillow. However, my lower back and legs felt somewhat better within 1-2 days of trying this pillow out. I would definitely suggest talking to your doctor initially, if you have numbness and tingling down your legs like I did, to rule out a potentially serious condition involving the tailbone. But provided it is just postural and inflammatory, and not a more serious condition, this cushion can help tremendously for many people with low back and leg discomfort. It is quite thick and the cushioning is not soft - so you *will* sit 1-2 inches higher in your seat. If it is an adjustable desk chair you will be using it in, or as a back support in a car, you should check first that you can adjust your seat down to compensate for it making you seem taller - you don't want to bang your knees on the desk, or touch your head to the car ceiling (if you have a long torso like my spouse does). It does not necessarily take pressure off of your gluteal muscles and nerves; it is designed to take pressure off your tail bone/coccyx. In doing this, it also gently supports better posture as it makes you sit up a bit and adjust your abdominals to sit up straighter. It has been one of the most immediately useful back care products I have ever tried through any supplier.

I liked this so much I have one in each vehicle & in my office - the places that I sit for any long periods. It has helped with lower back & hip pain. And I like sitting a little higher in vehicles.This is quite sturdy. I’ve used them for several years with no change in support. No signs of wear & tear either. This is great value for the price - many other options are a lot more expensive. It fits comfortably - just get it centered in your seat & sit. Easy peasy.

If you want a softer cushion than most other cushions, this is the right buy. I’ve found that a lot of cushions are too firm for my liking — this one is about right. It is larger than most other cushions, too; so, be sure it will fit wherever you plan to use it before buying. I’ve used it daily, as part of my sim racing rig, for about 2 weeks; so, I can’t yet speak to its longevity. My body is comfortable, though!Oh, also important — these cushions are rolled up when shipped. If there is a lump in your cushion when you first receive it, just let the cushion sit unused for a while; maybe 2 hours or maybe overnight. The lump will disappear. I had the same experience.

I liked this cushion at first. My desk chair's cushion went flat a long time ago and the bed pillow I'd been using for a few years had gone flat, so I decided to try this memory foam cushion thinking it would be an improvement. It was great at first! It relieved my butt pain, even though it put some pressure on the back of my thighs, but eventually the front of it flattened out enough that it wasn't a problem. However, almost 4 months later, it's hard as a rock and I'm right back to where I started. My butt hurts, my legs hurt, I'm just generally very uncomfortable. This cushion might work if you're average weight. I happen to be on the heavier side, so perhaps I need something designed for that, but color me disappointed. I can't afford to keep buying cushions every 3 months. I need something that's going to last much longer.

I love this cushion it is very comfortable and very well made.
