How to Understand and Take Care of Your Sphynx Kitten & Cat

Great if you don't know much about cats in general, but very little specifics about the Sphynx breed, Sphynx cats have quite a few characteristics which are unlike cats in general. I was hoping to get insight into those differences but was very disappointed. Love the cover picture.

Only the first chapter of this very short book is about the Sphynx. The other chapters are general care for a cat/kitten (which is ok material, but not what we wanted!). We were disappointed as we wanted more on the Sphynx.

This book sucked- As a veterinary technician I recommend you don't waste your money on this crap! Go somewhere else if you don't want a book written by a 12 year old.

If it were not for the incorrect words used, the content of the book would still be just mediocre. The information was vague and for anyone seriously looking at owning this breed would have just about all of this information in internet searches. Save your money and spend it on a cat toy.

I find the book is more directed to all breads of cats and doesn't focus on Sphynx with the exception of one chapter.

As a first time cat owner (we adopted our Spinx after some prodding from our six-year-old daughter) this book was like a godsend. Chock full of great advice and knowledge, it was precisely what I was looking for to help make the transition of the newest edition to our family a healthy, positive and easy one. In fact, I greatly appreciate the detail this book went into. Our cat, Shiloh, is better for it, and the rest of the family is as well. My compliments to the author for putting this out there for everybody. A great book, highly recommended!

Was disgusted with this purchase. It was a very basic cat book and was not a book about the Sphynx breed. Very poorly written and I got the feeling sections were just copied and pasted. In a kitten article they were called puppies!!! Amazon, I feel cheated and want my money back!

Dem Titel nach hatte ich erwartet, dass sich dieses Buch hauptsächlich mit der Rasse der Sphynx und ihrer Eigenarten beschäftigt. Tatsächlich geht es aber nur auf fünf der 80 Seiten speziell um die Sphynx. Alle anderen Kapitel behandeln ganz allgemein Themen rund um die Katzenhaltung wie Anregungen für selbstgebautes Katzenspielzeug oder die Frage, ob man sein Tier kastrieren lassen sollte oder nicht. Dass der Autor im Kapitel über richtiges Füttern ernst gemeinte Hinweise gibt in der Art, dass es nicht besondern weise ist, seine Katze absichtlich betrunken zu machen, finde ich befremdlich. Insgesamt eventuell hilfreich für Katzenneulinge, aber keine neuen Erkenntnisse für jemanden, der sich schon ein bisschen auskennt.
