Sisters have arrived!
Finally the French language comic that has sold millions has arrived in the US. Comic artist William has based the girls Wendy(the oldest)and Maureen in French Marine(the youngest)after his own kids. As sisters they play, fight,go to school and deal with each other. Hopefully they will publish the Super Sisters(sisters as superheroes),the dog training book and the novelizations.

A fun collection of battling sisters.
Each page is a complete comic with multiple panels, and each pretty much shows the sisters at each other's throats. It's funny, real-to-life most of the time, and well-drawn with lots of vibrant colors.

Funny and relatable
Our daughter is familiar with this comic through a weekly episode in one of her continental teen magazines. She quite likes its but proffers to read the book in English, so I was glad to find a copy of the first book of the series of the French author. Its about two fairly independent sisters Maureen and her older sister Wendy. Maureen adores and looks up to her older sister but both loves to annoy her and spent time with her. However Wendy has other interests as well. In short, enough basis for very relatable funny situations. The graphics a nice and colourful while the book is readable for a wide age-range of young readers. Only a few of the later volumes have been issued in English so far, we are looking for the next few ones.

Promoting eating disorders?
My 8 year old daughter loves comic books and this one looked really cute and age appropriate. She finished it quickly on her own and wanted to reread it with me one evening and I was disheartened to see this particular page that has what appears to eat diet food and her older sister telling her it will make her fat. Then it wraps up with the younger girl throwing up in the bathroom and the older sister telling their dad that "it is okay she is just practicing to be a top model." It makes me so sad as a parent to see that my daughter is already receiving negative body messaging and even purging messaging at such a young age. Definitely not cute or funny...just sad

Very entertaining
My 6yo and 8yo girls LOVED this book. A realistic depiction of sisters. Also very funny. The only other one in the series we have found is #3. Desperate for more in the series!
