Range is pretty real (went 25 km with it), awesome product!
Very fast and sturdy scooter yet way cheaper than most I've seen on the web markets! It does feel heavier than my old scooter, but that's probably the price on has to pay for the big batteries. I can still easily carry it everywhere though.I'm moving to the office in max 10 mins and uphill, when I used to walk 45 mins. Love that I can take it in with me (so many bikes were stolen from me the past years that I wanted to try scooters, never went back).A list of stuff that I love about this scooter is:- speed- power (can overcome hills that my previous scooter couldn't)- inbuilt lights- the foam-filled wheels really make a difference

Fairly disappointed...
I have been using it for 2 days now, and numbers have been consistent for both days. The speed is fairly accurate, I have been able to get Up To 25km/h a few times, but rarely, even though I ride the scooter on perfectly flat ground. Sometimes the speed just drops by 2-4 mph for no reason whatsoever, as if I'm hitting the breaks... Speaking of breaks, the scooter came with extremely tight brakes, so tight in fact that I had to adjust them myself, otherwise the wheels would not spin at all. They were two allen keys provided by the manufacturer, both perfectly identical and not suitable to adjust the brakes myself (wrong sizes). Therefore I had to purchase an allen key that was usable to adjust the brakes. On a full charge, I can travel 11 miles and ride the scooter for 1h45-1h50min. This is nowhere near the advertised range of "over 18.6 miles" or the "4 hours" of battery a full charge can deliver. An answer to a question from the manufacturer says the range is over 18.6 miles, but marketing says up to 18.6 miles... Since my commute to work is 4.2 miles each way, I can't afford to take a wrong turn or go somewhere, for fear of running out of charge. The screen makes it very difficult if not impossible to see anything in broad sunlight. The accelerator happened to get stuck a few times (literally, and I am not talking about cruise control). I did not notice until I looked at my hand, as I was too focused paying attention to cars in my surrounding environment. When I was walking on the pavement with my scooter in hand (turned on), making 100% sure not to have my hand on the accelerometer, it suddenly accelerated all on its own. Hopefully, I quickly managed to press the breaks...I am unfortunately quite disappointed so far. Unexpectedly low range, the presence of "safety" issues such as sudden speed drops, the scooter accelerating on its own when I don't even have my hand on the accelerometer are but a few reasons that make me want to return it...EDIT ON 30TH AUGUST 2019:A full battery now lasts approximately 60 minutes and dies before I even reach the 10 miles mark. Not acceptable. Will be asking for a full refund.

a speedy durable scooter to rival its competitors, Great for a commute
This is the Mac wheels MX1 electric scooter, a speedy durable scooter to rival its competitors. This review will be broken up into sections looking at the main points you want to be looking for when buying a electric scooter for your commute to work or just a bit of fun.Tour of the device:At first glance you would be mistaken thinking this was the xiaomi m365. This scooter looks identical to its competitor bar the Macwheels branding and a few changes under the hood. The wheels for instance have been swapped out from air filled tyres to foam filled, the reasoning behind this means you don’t have to worry about punctures though it does make the ride that little more rigid. The front wheel is powered by a 350 watt motor so can pack a little more of a punch up hills than its competitors and that really shows! The back wheel is used for breaking and uses a pad breaking system similar to what you would see on a bike, though at first this may been some adjusting to get just right. The main body is made of metal so feels weighty but also built to last, it shares the same collapsing mechanism to the m365 so its quick and easy to collapse and take around with you on trains and in cars. The handlebars are dominated by the lcd display that will show battery life left in bars and the speed your going at, I found this to be incredibly accurate and it’s nice and easy to read even in direct sunlight. On the right hand side you can see the accelerometer and the left you find the break, each placed very well so you can reach what you need to without stretching. And of course most importantly the scooter has 2 lights the front can be turned on by pressing the power button twice while the back break light will either flash when the front light is on of when your breaking.Weight, size and portability:Now we have toured the device let’s talk about specifics and start with the weight, all electric scooters are known to be a little heavy and this one is no exception this one comes in at a whopping 10kg though thankfully it’s clasping handlebars make it easy to carry around and i found its weight distribution to be amazing too allowing me to quickly pick it up and go. It’s size is a slightly different story it’s by no means small you if your planning on taking this around, especially around London I would avoid tight and cramped spaces like tubes as this scooter can be a little big, even when storing it at home I found it to be just that little bit too big and it got in the way a little but if you find the right spot it’s discrete especially when collapsed.Comfort:So how is this thing to ride, I am happy to report it’s a really comfortable ride overall, the foam filled tyres to mean you have no suspension so bumpy roads can get a little bumpy but other than that it’s a pleasant ride, the deck itself is just wide enough for me to get both my feet on it side by side and I find the height to be perfect with me not bending over or reaching for the handlebars in any way.Battery life:With a 270wh battery it should be able to deliver a whopping 18 miles of range though in my testing over the week I found it to be around 8 miles (2 of them on a steady uphill incline) so I would say that is respectable.Speed:This thing is FAST with 3 gears ranging from 8mph to 10 all the way to 18 in third gear, personally I find anything about 12mph becomes a little hard to control so for most rides I keep it in 2nd gear, but even on a uphill incline I can stay at a constant 5-6mph which is impressive for a scooter at this price point.Price point:And that brings me to the price point this scooter is cheaper than its competitors as just £359 currently but occasionally goes on offer so I would keep an eye on the amazon link in the description below for the most up to date pricing.Legality:Before I end this review I do want to just mention the boring legal bit, if you don’t care or do t want to hear this bit, tune out now I don’t blame you, but for those of you who have stayed I just want to mention that currently in the UK these devices are illegal to ride on roads or paths and carry a heavy £700 fine and even points on your license,so if you are riding and buying these please ensure you are either using in on private land or your happy to take the risks, these laws are hopefully set to change soon but until then I suggest airing on the side of caution when riding devices like this. And of course always wear the appropriate safety gear
