Great pretzel taste.
Accurate title, very important in a pretzel. It’s very rigid/crunchy and the well done ones seem to have a few reviews saying they taste overly burnt, these tasted well done as is so I won’t be trying the others. This becomes the new go to pretzel.

If you like crunchy pretzels with the perfect amt of salt!
My favorite pretzels. I had a hard time finding them in my local store… I’m hooked on these, so crunchy!

100% handmade!
I love these pretzels. They are really crunchy but don't break your teeth, they are salty but not too salty. I love how they are handmade, I even can see finger prints baked into the dough... they are really high quality.

Perfect for chocolate covered pretzels!
If you or someone you love enjoys chocolate covered pretzels, then you might be perusing these reviews as I did to determine whether they are suited for making them. Look no further! These are perfect for chocolate covered pretzels because:- Size: Larger than most snacking pretzels, so easier to cover with chocolate.- Texture: “Split” texture allows for chocolate to adhere better to the surface- Taste: Dry and salty - provides a good juxtaposition to chocolateI was able to cover almost an entire bag of these pretzels with a 10oz. bag of chocolate chips.1. I melted the chocolate via the double boiler method.2. I placed pretzels in the melted chocolate one at a time, using stainless steel chopsticks to maneuver them and scrape off excess chocolate.3. I placed the chocolate covered pretzels on a silicone baking mat (parchment paper or aluminum foil would also do).4. Refrigerated pretzels on mat to help chocolate harden. Why make your own?- Store bought chocolate covered pretzels are about $1/oz. The 365 chocolate covered pretzels are $3.99/5oz. = $0.80/oz.- If you make your own, these pretzels are $2.96/11oz. and 365 milk chocolate chips are $3.69/10oz. In total, $6.65/21oz. = $0.32/oz. That’s 60% less than if you purchased chocolate covered pretzels from WF, roughly 78% less than if purchased from other grocers or confectioners

Liked better than the dark version
I purchased these once they came out in the store, in the dark version because I generally loved darker pretzels and chips. I was not impressed as they were TOO dark. It made them bitter rather than more flavorful. I looked for the regular version in the store but they were always sold out so when I saw them online I threw two in the cart. I liked them better than the dark ones. Warning: they are very hard . Good teeth, much care needed eating them. One of my favorite low calorie treats is a hard pretzel or two dunked in flavored seltzer (orange is good) or a diet root beer. Had nothing for dunking but did managed to out away the two bags within a week or so. They are good, just the right amount of salt and not terribly pricey. Will purchase again but make sure I have something carbonated.

Best pretzels ever from Reading, PA
My grandmother used to buy these in bulk in giant clear bags from the factory, once upon a time. They were considered "seconds" (she said) but got the name "specials" probably because locals loved them (?). This is my memory, at least. I loved them then and I love them now, all gussied up in their own fancy bags distributed far away from PA. There's also a sour dough whole grain variety shaped liked chunky rings (exquisite).
