Ok, I am upgrading my frustrated review to reflect the quick reply from Downlite that fixed this issue with a replacement king mattress cover on it's way. Though I was told to donate or toss the defective one. That seems like a waste since no one ever slept on the defective one and someone with a good serger machine and good sewing skills could easily fix the defective one.But I do say thank you to Downlite for addressing this lightening fast. For that part, I am grateful!The "old" story;I ordered this mattress cover in a queen and a king. It came in good time. I like the covers. The queen mattress cover fits just fine. And the king mattress cover fits as well. The problem is the king mattress cover came defective with one seam on one side of the cover not stitched, so there is a gaping hole. Sigh. So, I folded the cover and back into the zippered bedding bag it went. I submitted a return claim and received instructions to print out the return mailing label along with the authorization slip. And that's when I noticed that I have to pay shipping to return this defective item. It's bulky and came in a very large box. Which means shipping will be costly and that is not fair since this is not because of anything I did or just plain did not like. The seller, DOWNLITE should cover the return shipping fees, not the buyer. One reason I considered purchasing this mattress cover was that the shipping was part of the price and offered as "free".That should also apply when the buyer has to return the defective thing.

I SLEEP HOT, lets start there. Like a fool, I was taken in and spent a lot of money on an iComfort with American Mattress telling me it will not be hot, and I was there for a long time...not quick sell. WELL I would wake up every day kicking covers off because I was toooooo hot. I ended up switching for my grandsons less dense mattress and not as bad but STILL wake up hot. Then I read review3 on this and thought what the heck, tried everything else short of a new mattress. AND I have been sleeping on it for 5 days now and I am NOT waking up sweaty in the morning. I was waking up at anywhere from 5 to 6:30 every day and I have been sleep through until my time to get up.I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THIS...SO WORTH THE MONEY.It is made nice and fits the bed beautifully.TRY THIS DEFINITELY IF YOU ARE A HOT SLEEPER.

Not as cool as expected, but I don't wake up sweating either as with the last cotton/poly product I tried. My sleep is such that I only need a sheet falling asleep and then in the middle of the night when my body temp cools, I usually grab the quilt. As a regular mattress pad, it is comfortable but a bit overpriced. I recommend the Saferest Premium Hypoallergenic mattress cover (or similar) to address any concerns about washing this bulky mattress pad. The mattress cover is lightweight, waterproof, and washable, so alleviates my concerns about washer-damage of the pad. The mattress cover also does not seem to make any difference with cooling or heating, but is just neutral.

Pleasantly surprised , I have a foam hybrid mattress, I call my fake temperpedic. Well this bed makes us hot, and I wake up pretty sweaty, especially in the summer months. I'm cold natured so I usually don't mind but a little warm, but this was exsesive for even me. I bought this cover as I didn't need any additional thickness, and I specifically research for cooling effect. This was the winner due to price and thickness, or lack thereof. Wow, it actually works! I'm definitely much cooler, I still have times where I'm a little warm but it's a very noticeable difference from our old mattress protector.

After scouring the internet for a fluffy but cool mattress topper, I found this one and was wooed by the words "cooling" and "bamboo" and the price was right. I even purchased a new sheet set with a low thread count so I could feel the difference.First, the padding is that's supposed to be fluffy is somewhat flat. It's a minor improvement to the posturepedic mattress.And Second, it's not cooling. I've been sweating the same as I was before. Maybe it's a pregnancy thing, but I was hoping the "bamboo" would pull through for me. It doesn't even feel like bamboo to the touch, it's more of a soft flannel-like feel.Coming out of the box I felt it and it did, in fact, feel a little cool when pressing down, which made me excited to sleep on it. Too bad it didn't make any actual difference.

Being that we own a Tempur-Pedic bed, which seems to warm up during the night, I started looking for a new mattress pad. After searching for quite a while, I came upon the SPA Luxury Cool Touch Bamboo mattress pad. As the reviews seemed to mostly positive, I decided to give it a try. This was the perfect answer to keeping cool on our Tepur-Pedic mattress. I highly recommend this mattress pad to anyone looking for a way to stay cool on a Tempur-Pedic mattress. I no longer wake up in the middle of the night trying to shed the covers and trying to find a cool spot. Yes, it is pricey, but worth every penny. As soon as I can, I am going to order one for my guest room bed even though it is not a Tempur-Pedic-Pedic.

We have both slept better and cooler with this on our bed. It fits our bed very well. It has extra deep pockets to fit our mattress. I do notice a little bunching on my husbands side but he's a hard sleeper and pulls covers and sheets off our bed all the time. They are very easy to smooth out in the morning since I have to completely remake his side every morning anyway. I bought this hoping to help me with the night sweats (menopause). And I am quite please with the difference this topper has made.I would not say perfect..but so much better than without it. So bottom line it is worth the price.

Breathable and soft! Didn’t work for my Plush mattress though, it made it harder. Also you can return the item but seller deducts shipping from your refund.
