I never liked using earplugs that you put inside your ear
I bought these to use for an upcoming cruise where I will be with some snoring folks in close quarters and I thought why not try them now to see if they work since my husband can keep me awake as well. Honestly looking at them, I wasn't sure how they would work. At first, I wasn't sure I had them on properly and so I watched the instructional video online which I should have done first because I'm a visual learner. I readjusted them and realized that I did not have them on correctly because I immediately noticed a difference. I never liked using earplugs that you put inside your ear. They would bother me and I would eventually remove them. The Ear Muffers were very comfortable to sleep in and did not bother me at all and they did minimize the noise. Now I know I will get some sleep on the cruise.

Didn't work for me
Bought them for a concert and tried to apply before the show. They didn't stick to my ear or my partner's ear. I don't know if it was because it was hot outside and the glue was compromised, but I felt very lucky to have brought backup earplugs just in case.

Best for water protection
I'm an audiologist who tried these sticky pads myself. By carefully placing the pad to cover most of the outer ear, the user will be able to shower and swim with decent water protection. Custom earplugs are often outgrown fast when they're made for young children, or they can be top heavy (pulling outwards from the ear). Non custom wax plugs may fall out, and are just generally a pain to deal with. Also, you don't have to worry about inserting an unsanitized earplug into an ear canal or pushing earwax in further. This, itself, can cause otitis externa.EarMuffers are easy to install after following the directions (there's a video). If you save the paper backing, you may even use them a couple of times before disposing. For children who want to swim underwater, purchase an Ear Band-It and place tightly over the EarMuffers. You'll need double protection. An unusual application is for hikers. Bugs getting into ear canals is more common than you might think, and these gritters can cause pain once they're inside. Protect your ears and hear your companions with EarMuffers.I can't give a review for noise protection. I'll leave that to others, but EarMuffers are easy and affordable for water protection (when used properly).

Too sticky - hard to put on and take off. One-time use makes it pricey.
In my quest to find something to block out noise so I could get a better night of sleep, I tried these out. Once. Only once. The glue on this is so sticky and long-lasting that it causes 2 problems: 1) putting it on without looking in a mirror or having someone help you is challenging at best, annoying and painful at worse; 2) taking it off in the morning/when you're done is really uncomfortable or even a bit painful. The pricing on this is also out-of-whack, because once you use these once, you'll hardly be able to use them again. Even foam earplugs marked for 1-time use can be used for a few days.As for sound-blocking, sure it helped, but it was hardly near the levels you'd get from typical foam or other types of earplugs.Overall, I'd skip these, and try a more traditional set of earplugs first.

Do not waste your money!
Why am I awake at 4 am?? Because these things do not work. My husband's snoring awakened me. Do not waste your money! These do not work. My husband snores. I have been using ear plugs which I stick in my ear and sometimes become uncomfortable due to moisture buildup. I love my husband, but I may have to sleep in another bedroom to keep him.So we're clear, I was able to cover my ear with it and got it to seal. However, it does not block enough noise. I could still hear everything. It seemed like such a great alternative. So my alternative is to cut earplugs in half so I can comfortable wear them without feeling uncomfortable when I sleep on my side.

Sleep deprived- not anymore!!!
I had used these before and liked them when my husband got his C-pap machine and these helped get used to the machine until I didn’t need them. Until, my husband has added an oxygen machine to his C-pap and it again caused me to lose sleep.Ordered Ear muffers again and immediately found relief so that I can sleep comfortably again. Because I used them before, my biggest problem was getting my hair stuck the first time I used them two years ago. Took a refresher YouTube look at their video and it went perfect and has solved my problem with oxygen C-pap noises. Thanks so much, such a little price for something that makes life much easier.

Different and unique, they have applications:
They are an interesting, unique product. There is little about the product that is understood before purchase, so let me explain that these are essentially soft pads that have a very strong sticky side, that is put over the ear in such a way that it forces the front part of the ear to close over the ear canal...just like many people do with their fingers when blocking noise. Most people don't stick their fingers *inside* their ear canal, they instead push the tragus against their ear canal to block noise. This product essentially uses a strong sticker to accomplish the same effect, keeping the tragus in place. And it works, doing exactly that. The big pros: Nothing goes inside the ear, and it definitely reduces noise way down. I can't get anything inside my ear any longer due to a painful skin condition in the canal area. But: I personally would not use them for a concert or prolonged loud noise (though many people can, I'm just more particular) and the sticky material is VERY strong, so that it can keep your targus in place...avoid getting it in hair!It is a unique product that I can see myself using for special needs, perhaps a club event or a parade for instance, where there isn't huge concern about volume exposure, but it'd be nice to have something for a temporary block. I'm glad they exist, I think a lot of people who don't/can't put things in their ear canal will get a lot of use out of them, the idea is long overdue.
