Made in the USA, Exceptional Quality
I'm very happy with this half foam roller: exceptional quality, made in the USA. It works well for my physical therapy exercises. I was very pleased to find out it's manufactured by the same company as my whole foam roller, that I purchased at the PT clinic.

Great quality, very useful
I bought a 36 in and 12 in roller. Best. Thing. Ever. My husband and I both use them. We typically roll our backs on the 36 because it is very spacious and supportive. You don't feel like you're going to fall off/have to balance like some other rollers/wheels. I also use it for complete spinal relaxation. It's quite long and I get support from my lower back all the way to the base of my head, even being quite tall and having a long torso (I'm a female, 5'10). I use the 12 in roller far more than my husband. I like to use it for scapular exercise, I use it as a spacer to keep my shoulders equal distance and locked tight. My physical therapist thought it was a great idea for my situation when I told him about it. I also use it when I do reverse crunches. I like to hold it between my feet to make them more challenging. These are good quality rollers and very durable. We use them more often than we expected and I am very pleased with them!

My favorite tool for calf strengthening and stretching and for improving balance
This half roll is like the one I use in the gym. It is great for doing eccentric calf raises, especially if you are recovering from an injury like a herniated L 5 disk. It also provides the best stretch for calves. My calves can feel fine if I stretch them without the half roll so I keep the roll tucked by my bathroom sink so that I can do a quick check to determine if my muscles are tighter than I think. I also stretch while I brush my teeth so that I dont forget and my calves stay nice and limber. With your heel on the floor and the ball of your foot on the roll, slowly lean forward and breathe...feels so good . I think it keeps calf cramps at bay as well...so a stretch before bed is a must. A great balance exercise is to walk across 2 or 3 rolls placed end to end...like a balance beam only safer. Place them next to a wall or hand rail to steady yourself as necessary. Stand tall, shoulders back, core engaged, chin up, eyes straight ahead and walk deliberately and slowly. Balance will improve within days of doing this exercise. I think everyone can benefit from both these simple exercises.

Roller
Good, firm roller. Don’t use too often but good for rolling out stiff muscles or relieving cramps.

Keep Moving at Any Age!
I recently start doing Pilates, and have had lower back issues. We did an exercise using a half roller and you would have thought the sky's opened up. I purchased on for my home, and so glad that I did. Met all my expectations.

Physical therapy approved
Exactly as what’s used in my physical therapy dept. I use for Pilates as well. Perfect hard firmness. This is not your cheap foam roller. Worth the price. My full roller like this half one lasts forever; never collapses.

Not indestructible, best option for the price
Many reviews stated how firm this roller was, but I can feel it dimple when I just press my feet onto it for calf-stretching. It is very effective to help with the stretches and was the cheapest option, but it is just super high density styrofoam, and if I were to put all my 230lbs on it at once it would probably get crushed. It is smaller than i thought also but I did not actually look at how large it was in the description. I am glad to have it, and it came quickly. It works as it should when I remember to use it.
