I picked up this 4 pack of salt because I like to have a variety of salt for different dishes. This was an easy way to get 4 "samples" and try them out. So far I like each of them with the French Grey being my favorite one. I really like both the black and red Hawaiian sea salts also, they add a nice pop of color on salads and if you top a dish with salt. They will also enhance the color of a dish you are cooking.PROS: You get to try 4 different salts for a reasonable price!CONS: None, you cannot beat this deal!The Himalayan Pink is the same salt you can buy at most stores. I've used Himalayan Sea Salt granules in a grinder for a few years. When I saw this variety pack, I thought it would be a good opportunity to try the other three types. The Himalayan salt was in granules, therefore needing a grinder. However, the other three types were already ground. Since I was familiar with Himalayan salt, I decided to mix all four types in a jar and spoon it out. Wow! I always wait to salt my food after it's cooked so that I won't destroy any food value found in these special salts so now I'm totally using this mixture in everything I cook and grind the Himalayan I already had in baking.Four ounces of each type is a lot and will last awhile -- well, then, maybe not since that is my primary salt at the moment. If one wishes to try any of the four salts contained in this variety pack, I highly recommend this selection. In fact, once I use this purchase up, I'll buy more. And I'll mix them as the taste is simply outstanding.

I am so happy i gave this a try. The Black Sea Salt is my favorate but i like the red one too I will never go back to table salt I also bought the blue salt but havent tried it yet

My husband was so frustrated at not being able to see if salt was coming out of the shaker so I bought him this. Now he can see the red or black salt as it lands on his eggs.

With learning new cooking and seasoning methods. These were great. Although I would say they need a greater explanation of what these salts are good to use with. The statements are ok.. but a wider usage explanation would help more.

I'm an amateur chef and recently discovered the different types of salts so I had to give this a try! I did gift the black and grey salts because I've used both in the past and wanted to try the bigger crystal Himalayan. Very nice quality and value!

After purchasing this product, I can honestly say that I will not revert to using table salt again. There is such a major difference between table salt and other types of sea salts such as Sel Gris and the black and red Hawaiian varieties. I've used Himalayan pink salt in the past, but I thought I would buy this product to see what other kinds of salts are out there and what they taste like, and I was not disappointed in the slightest. It is difficult to describe the difference in taste, but sea salt tastes less salty and is better for you. I'm not saying salt is necessarily "good" for you, but sea salt is better in that it has more minerals and no anti-caking agents such as sodium aluminosilicate (CaSiO3), which is commonly used in table salt. Overall, I was very pleased with my purchase and would consider buying from this company again.

This is a really nice little gift for the cook in the family. It comes packaged nicely and you can give all 4 to one person or split it between 2 or more. Christmas stocking stuffers? A little pricey for salt but I know that going to the market the price is similar and this gives the cook a variety. I would purchase again. I would recommend to others.

Loved this sample set. Game changer for your taste buds, and much much healthier than table salt (man-made salt is not meant to be consumed). I marked down 2 stars because the bags are TINY. Not worth the price, for the amount you get, but it's a nice gift for yourself or others to try something new. Quality salt is hard to find - not all salt is created equal.

You think that you are going to get a sample of four different gourmet salts? Wrong! The only gourmet salt is the Himalayan. The others have a similar taste than the salt manufactured in a factory. You can have a kilo of Himalayan for the same price.
