Design Flaws Easy Fix
I bought one of these some years ago and did have the problems that others say. The main screw holding all together isn't bad design. Just needs a lock washer since the back and forth movement on its opening and closing loosens the screw/nut. I fixed by unscrewing (not off) some threads and super glued around threads then tightened. Works great! Did the same after the tiny O ring fell off when I dropped it on the Walmart concrete floor. Put some super glue on both sides of O ring snapped it back in and stays there now! Yes, one shouldn't have to super glue things to make them work but better that then throw away a good workable product. Screws loosen that is normal. The factory should add a lock washer which would easily fix from the get go!

Very handy tool.
Excellent tool for people who repair watches, replace batteries and need magnification quickly.

Broke off just walking while on keychain
The magnifying glass is nice but the Keychain rivet broke off just walking while on my hip. This is the only thing holding all the pieces together.

Watch the video for some preformance evaluation.
Cute product, great to take it anywhere you go to, a tool that comes in handy, especially when you need to read those ridiculously tiny letters on vitamin labels, or you'll need it to read a given product's details no one can read, so you won't be mistaken on it. It works pretty much well for me. BTW1, it accidentally fell onto a hard floor (from about 1 meter high), when I thought it was the end. Guess what? Nope! Not even a single scratch on it and the glass remained intact, did not crack. I can't measure the magnification level (you can see it working in the video, though), but it does not matter, as long as it amplifies well the details I need to read. BTW2, the borders of the cover do not hurt/cut your fingers (refer to the video, please), as the borders are blunt, not sharp ones. I showed it to a friend who got interested in it, so I think I'll buy another to gift her. Thanks for reading!

Arrived with cracked glass. But otherwise felt like it would have been a good piece.

Very cheap, fell apart in almost no time.
Fell apart 5 minutes after use. The lens just fell out.

Perfect EDC when stripped down
Take the cover and chain off and put a small key ring through just the lens to attach to your big key ring with maybe a saltwater lure swivel, then you have a magnifying glass that is more powerful than the large reading magnifying glasses to use when in the stores to read the super tiny print on medicine bottles. For survival, it's too small to lite white paper on fire but if you focus it on the black print it'll start to smolder. Serves two uses that you can have with you at all times and doesn't take up any space to speak of. If you leave the heavy cover on it make sure you unscrew it and put removable locktight on the threads and don't over tighten it. If the lens falls out just put a little super glue back in.

I find it too small to read things not what I was looking for...
