The Real Deal!
For many years there was a Jamaican restaurant that had a special ingredient that no one could ever find out what it was added to their jerk chicken and some other dishes etc oxtails. After visiting Jamaica last year one of the local’s told me to try the pepperpot seasoning in my Jamaican dishes which I did once I found this ingredient on Amazon, couldn’t find it anywhere else. This is the secret sauce ingredient that I had been searching for approximately 30 years.. a bit pricey for what you get however well worth it for the unique taste.

Yummmmm
Yes it's a little spendy BUT SO WORTH IT!!! I cooked 4 lbs of bison roast cut into chunks, with garlic, red onion, and half a jar of cassareep with 32oz of beef broth and a cup of water in a Dutch oven @ 375 for 3 hrs. Then dropped temp to 275 and threw in half a bag of baby carrots, for 1 hour. Served over rice. I topped it off with finely diced jalapeno and sweet red pepper, and sliced green onions. Sooo good!!! My husband raved about it all night!!

This is a fake - not Real Guyana Cassareep.
If you are looking for a bottle of cassareep to make a nice batch of pepperpot - stay away from this product. This is a watered down, adulterated bottle of possible meat seasoning which does not come anywhere close to Guyanese cassareep. As a native Guyanese who has made and eaten pepperpot countless times, I advise you to stay away from this product. It will mess your pepperpot dish up!I think it can be used as a marinade or meat seasoning successfully, but again, not to create a robust pot of pepperpot.Get something else!!

Delicious
My first attempt at Guyanese pepperpot was fantastic. My husband’s mind was blown. I put 4 star because of the “natural flavor” added. I can’t find clean sauce.

Same as in Guyana but expensive
I’m told by friend from Guyana this is the real deal that they also use. One bottle per recipe as there is not much in there. So, if used often, it will get expensive.

Tastes wonderful, even if pricy.
Loved the flavor, and will probably be ordering again. That being said, I believe that this is pretty pricy and won't be a regular thing as a result.
