This is awesome.
I purchased because my husband works in a shop that isn't air conditioned and in Florida it gets hot. He's a mechanic and this has been the best thing to keep him cool. He wets it with tap water and wrings it out and wears it over his t-shirt. Keeps him cool for hours. He said its like the blue towels you wet and put around your neck. Everyone in the shop asked where to purchase it. Game changer!

Not magic, works if you understand it
This is not a magical vest thatll just magically keep you cool. It's similar to drenching your inner shirt wet but longer lasting and without the immediate cooling that the former does.IT helps keep me at a stable temperature in 100F+ days and is easy to wear and use. Very surprised at how little water it puts onto your inner shirt despite it being drenched seconds before.Just drench in water, wipe excess off, put on and ride.

Cool, then Warm.
Cool at first, then warm. Really liked this for short trips on really hot days, but on a longer trip once it started drying (~45-50 minutes) it started adding heat instead of cooling. Unfortunately at rest area where we tried to re-wet they only had hot water in the sinks! UGH! Could not stand it after that & felt much better riding with just mesh jacket.

Vest works well in the hot, dry desert
This vest works fairly well in very hot, very dry conditions. It's not the same as an air conditioned car, but it works fairly well to keep you cool. Before I obtained the vest, I drove multiple times for 40 minutes on a motorcycle with a full helmet in 115F, 20% humidity weather. I was completely covered in sweat as my body tried to regulate the temperature. With the vest, my body core was definitely cooled down. You do have to soak the vest in water so you will be slightly wet when you use the vest, but the evaporative cooling of the vest worked well. The vest has less of an impact when the humidity is higher, but it still has a cooling affect even with the humidity. The vest does not work as well at slower speeds. My motorcycle rides were at 65-75 mph on open freeways. On surface streets with stop lights, at 35-45 mph, the vest does not cool as well.Even knowing the limitations, I would recommend the vest as a good way to keep your body cool in hot conditions.

Worth every penny
This product is awesome!! I am a heat sensitive person and bought this cooling vest when my family was taking a trip to Disneyland and temperatures were in the triple-digits. I soaked it in the sink for the recommended time and packed it in a ziplock to carry in my bag until I needed it. The vest does get heavy when it has soaked up all of the water. It does not feel heavy after putting it on because the weight is evenly distributed. I walked in the blazing hot 105 degree sun without even noticing that I was doing it. At one point my parents told me to step into the shade because I was holding my daughter’s hand in full sun and forgot that it was hot! The only downside is that my behind was wet from the water dripping off of the vest—I probably should have squeezed it out more, but it was so hot that wet clothes felt nice too.

Keeps me cool for 2-3 hours
Kept me cool for 2-3 hours in 90 degree weather! Minimal wetness to clothes, relatively light weight when activated, comfortable to wear alone or under motorcycle jacket. Great price for great product.

Must have moving air!
This works on the physics of heat transfer when a liquid evaporates. If you do not have a fan, or the wind on a bike or motorcycle, it does not work well! [Well, maybe when the humidity is at or below 15%.]I was disappointed to find it did not have those water-absorbing beads that would slowly release the water to evaporate. I kept pouring water on myself as I rode so that it would continue to cool.
